Official Guy Ornadel Review
Well what can I say. Sick sick set. So many good tunes.
All I can say is that we'll have a perfect quality Xmas present for all the little boys and girls soon enough!

holy crap i can cope with juse about enought cheesy trance ... but now .. i'm done for at least a whole year. Never a moment did he stoped playing those cheesyfull song ( even alec agreed on that one )

The machine threw out one HELL of a set ... believe me on that one ... u don't know how GOOD it was .. It was proggy but always hard enough to get u dancin + they actually never let go of the mixer always adding bits and parts of other tunes + samples + effects .... they were like two little monkeys behind the booth ( and i was ... THE PIPIE MONKYE !!!

Great night.....had a lot of fun......good to see Malek, Mastercongo and Zing again......and as always...had a great time partying with Alec and Assassin.......thanks to Zing for the hookup for tickets....YOU da MAN!
Yaz's set (the part that I caught) started off good and just got better as he went along....the final 45 mins were Bangin'
Guy ornadel was either really good or really off.....did not like his first 2 tracks.....then he played amazingly for 1.5 hours.....then kinda went hit and miss for the rest of his set.....but a great set overall
Aria was great as always...the hip hop room was packed full of hot girls.......but not too many of them made their way downstairs......but even then.....lots of room to dance.....good temperature
my one gripe about the night was the freakin Fog or smoke machines.........I hate them.....they made my eye burn and made me cough repeatedly......whoever thought of that idea should be made to take a pay CUT......not a good thing to have smoke being blown into your face every 2 min...made dancing way less fun IMO
and the one suggestion to Aria management......and I think ALec and I both agree on this.....you need an Air Raid siren in the main room.....it would be totally wicked to have that thing go off once in a while :
indeed it would, Krinker I agree he did play some cheese, but I didn't think he played that much. I think you just hate trance and that's all there is to it. Sorry man, but this is the way it is.
hasan and hasham, always fun. zing and Master, good to see you again, we'll need to go out for some benny b some time soon, also there were a lot of hot chicks last night, but I still need to go on a sat night and see for myself.

It's just that his style of trance ... didn't suit me at all. I was about BEG for him to stop playing. I think it would have been cool to go for a couple of epic trance choons ... but not for 4 fuckin hours !!! ( btw ... the last ... house or so .. when he was more banging .. he was way less cheessy ... and a little bit better )
+ you can't actually say that he was in full force behind the mixer... how did u describe it ... ho yeah ... BRUTAL :P

he isn't the best of mixers to be honest, not sure if he's actually trying or what, but anyways, I still oved his tunes, When you saw armin he plays harder in montreal than normal, more prog than trance on june13th and tiesto I'm sure played mostly prog at dag!
Both times I've catch Ornadel @ Aria, he ended up dissapointing me. The first time was in December 2002 when he fucked up his mixes, and yesterday, the track selection didnt turn me on at all. Too bad I missed his last summer performance with Armin and Tiesto because for now on, Ornadel is on my black list. I can't see how he could possibly redeem himself with me. He played an extra 40 minutes or so that I could have enjoyed listening to the Machine instead. By luck, people seemed to have a blast anyway. There could have been more people, but there was just enough to create a party mood. Sometimes, the smoke is handy to fill in the gaps you know...
I wonder whats going on in Ornadel's brain when he thinks about Aria and Montreal peeps. You see, in December 2002, there was a snowstorm the very same night he played, so that might have explained the poor turn out of people then. Yesterday, the surprising cold weather might have explained it too. But did it? Maybe people doesn't really dig his stuff anymore. Because this summer, the crowd was mainly out to listen to Tiesto and Armin, not particulary him. Heck, we even needed Ottawa peeps to crank the party

I had an amazing time. First we drove from Ottawa to attand the Evanescence concert @ Bell Centre. It was an amazing concert and I love her voice - plus she is hot!!!
It was 11pm and we read in the paper that he was playing in Aria so we decided to hang around Montreal - alot of bad places and lots of hookers.
Got in Aria- didn't like the music - too hard and couldn't dance. When Guy came on I was so surprised by the tracks he played. HE played Hello -(trance version) Evanescene, other tracks - Beautiful Thing, As the Rush Comes, Intution- Jewel - lots of great tracks.
I was quite happy with is set. I saw him before and last night he was so horrible that I was unsure about spending the $25.00 last night.
I am still recovering from see Evanescene and the party. My voice is almost gone from singing to tracks. Now working with only 2 hrs of sleep.
I thought it was fun.

I pretty much agree with Hasan's comments on the night, except for the air raid siren, thats just retarded. 
There will be a fairly complete tracklist once I have time to make one. All I can say is I cant wait to sse him again.

Air raid sirens are only good if there is alot of smoke, and if Hasan is standing next to the smoke machine + air raid siren.

Wow! What a night! Guy is really good. Whatever Krinker says is bull. Cuz he's NOT A TRANCE ADDICT, he's HOUSE ADDICT.
His set was different from Armin's or Tiesto's but he still kicks ass, as Alec said these guys play way harder here. Ornadel was playing lots of epic Trance and lots OMG!!! uplifting tunes. All I can say is he played real Trance, not techno or Hard trance.

Damn straight, unfortunately Montreal doesn't get enough trance (real trance)! so they don't know what's good and whats not!
