Very soon i'm going to buy an pair of turntables, after readig so many positive things about technis turntables, i'm going to buy technics but which technics is the best.

technics 1200 sl
technics 1210 mk2
or the new technics mk3

difference between sl 1200 mk2 and sl 1210 mk2 is color, 1200 = gray, 1210 = silver

the m3d's have a reset button which brings the pitch back to normal. the neat feature about that is you can leave the pitch control at a desired point, and still play at normal pitch.

they also have recessed power control so you can't hit it by misstake, and a cover that just sits, no hinges or anything -- so its easy to remove.

the m3d runs like 50 or so more. I think thats the only major diff. I own the m3d's and have no probs...

i'd throw down the extra 50 or so and get the newest model which is the m3d's. i mean the technics arent exactly cheap, so whats an extra hounded?

I agree, go with the M3D's. The version before that was good but I guess a couple people found the pitch control slider to be a bit of a problem. Ya see on the MK3's the slider snaps to the original pitch once near the middle, the problem is, is that it snaps a couple millimeters before and after the middle....Yeah I know a couple milimters...well obviuosly it was a problem for someone cause they came out with the M3D's. The M3D's just have a button you push to get back to the original pitch...MUCH EASIER!

If your looking at saving a bunch of money on the already expensive tables, Id deffinetly say look past that feature but like Dazzed said it shouldnt be much more for the latest models of Technics.

are the technics mark3 the same as the m3d, beceause i was yesterday at a dj shop and the sellsman told me that next month there was coming a new technics turntable called the mark 3

Ive never heard of a Mark3, unless they are refering to the MK3. But the MK3 is not the newest version...the M3D is the newest with the MK3 the version before that.

1200 MK2, 1210 MK2(the only difference being color)
1200 MK3
1200 M3D

ahh..so techincs is keeping up the name..good good then.

so it goes like this

1200/1210 MK2
1200 MK3
1200 MK3D

the only difference between 1200/1210 is color, and between MK3, and MK3D is a change in the pitch control return to 0 dealy thing right?
