1 word: WOW!

marco v was awesome! he played every track I wanted to hear. I didn't meet any TOTAs because, well, I don't know any of you. I was wearing a grey hooded shirt & a camo hat with the hooj choons logo on it.

Regarding the clocks remix, he played it as I was waiting in line for coat check (at around 4).

I need sleep but I'll post more later.

(btw, I hope the dude with the whistle wasn't one of u guys, it was rather annoying...)

If it was the same guy who was yelling MARCO MARCO MARCO, I'm really sorry. I was the guy yelling POLO POLO POLO! hahaha

Posted by k0nk on Dec-14-2003 10:06:

The whistle blowing wasn't that bad, it was his desire to create bad lyrics for every song, and the fact that he kept yelling "Mark Oliver represent" throughout Marco V's set.

First time to guv since I moved here. Nice place, but can't people pick a spot and dance, instead of walking back and forth all night?

Posted by Flec on Dec-14-2003 14:30:

how was he compared to his viva performance?

Posted by Tordan on Dec-14-2003 14:35:

Jarek, he did play the remix of clocks and also the remix of 3rd Earth which I requested. So what if its track 8 on the Guv all access CD... he played it for me!! I had an awesome time tonight and much respect goes out to all the TOTAs I partied with.

Skeletor: Please do share the whole story. What you told me briefly really scared me. Hope everything is alright.

my thoughts

The set kicked ass - good mix of trance and tech-trance - just what I wanted to hear but...

It didn't even come close to the energy/vibe his VIVA set had.

Some track I hear:
3rd Earth vs Solarstone
Adma Freeland - Smells Like Freeland
Picotto - Back to Cali
Jens - Looped and Things
Marco V - GODD
Push - Strange World
Katana - Tribal Shock

PS: What time did he finish?

OK !

First of Marco was awesome!!! His track selection is excellent, and most defenitely played what most of wanted to hear. But not too hard though.

Again i missed him at the meetup. LOL next time though.

Posted by monishb on Dec-14-2003 19:21:

Posted by k0nk on Dec-14-2003 20:14:

That born slippy remix rocked.

Hahaha ... I was gonna come to this one for sure if it wasn't for the friday night's draining Rivera experience, and the fact that lots of my money went to that gig and I barely made it home and worked the saturday ... I just couldn't come - the bank was closed and I only had 10 bucks to spare (I spent 90 bucks on Rivera gig, unintentionally) - not even enough for the GO BUS fare!

I hope you TOTAs had lots of fun, I couldn't come, but I was planning to, it's just I am not a lucky person and something always has to go wrong for me ...

Posted by Swamper on Dec-14-2003 21:00:

Marco played a much better set this time around - I guess the whole CD release event hyped him up/made him comfortable since it was obvious that he was loving it in the booth...

Vincent De Moor - No Hesitation = My track of the night... Took 3.5 years before I heard this one live

Muff2k - actually aren't u the whistle guy with the orange hair? lol

Posted by DigitalMP on Dec-14-2003 21:16:

whoooooaaaa i LOST IT when he played c:\del*.mp3 - then i had to explain to some dude in the washroom what wold need to be done to that command to make it work in dos, provided all of your mp3s are on the root of C:, or the switch to check subfolders...

and push - strange wrold, took me waayyy by surprise, well....not really because this cd was kinda soft, with respect to marco, but i still liked it.

and Il (sp?)...nice meeting you bro

Posted by hardcore trancer on Dec-14-2003 21:20:

when he played: Marco v - I feel you

woow that was my first time hearing that song in a club.I think that was the best part of the night!!
Iam not sure which remix he played?Thomas Datt remix?

KarateKid

My 2nd time seeing Marco V and again was a very enjoyable time. Managed to get to the pre-meetup to chill with all the TOTA's. It was funny since when I got there I recognized everyone except for one of tatgirl's friends, some guy at the table who she introduced me too. Unfortunately the pub was very loud and I couldn't hear her say his name. So anyways I juss said "uhh yeah sup" to him when I shook his hand and sat down at another table with E2EK1EL. So we sat and chilled and I was wondering why everyone was lookin at her friend gathered around him and then I looked more carefully and realized that he was MARCO V! Wow, what a lucky guy he is to have met me..

When we took the group photo I said to him: "Hey you're a lot taller in all your videos."

To which he replied: "I am!" (he's stands an astonishing 5'4 or something, shorter than Swamper!!)

Anyways, the rest of the night was decent. We got inside early so it was nice to spend some time in the Guv with some space for a change, but then towards Marco's set it became more and more rammed as usual and eventually became all too unbearable as always. Reminds me of why I loathe the Guv mainroom so much, but if it weren't for the TA's, again fun would not have been. I found his last set here earlier this year to have been a little harder than this time around, but I still enjoyed it because of the different flow this time around.

Best moment of my night was when he dropped:
Dirty Bass - Emotional Soundscape [Dirty Blue]

Shoutouts to all the usual suspects, as well as a few TA lurkers who we met. More people read this messageboard than you guys think!
