where are all the producers gone?
just noticed that lately there has been a lack of quality trance tracks on the forums...a year ago this place was flooded with massive trance tunes by the likes of bren-f, icone, endre etc..
where are the new breed! we want to hear more of your trance!
ps.-i know a lot of people have got signed and cant post tracks anymore, but there must be more people who arent signed yet and want to share the music?
This is true - I've noticed it also.
I for one am guilty of not posting anything recently either. Although, saying that, I haven't really been making much, hehe.
Since Illuminate, I've done a remix for Rapid Eye - Santa Cruz, which I haven't been able to share. Oh and the tune with Rob
Dunno about everyone else...
*Get's producing*

If my next song gets rejected, I'll post it here. Buyt then again if it gets rejected it won't be descent huh

But I got some good response from an EMI A&R guy. That made my week. But liking it, and signing it .. two different worlds

I would disagree with that
I think there is a lot of talent on this board that people don't know about. But then again, we still have our fair share of the talented producers that everyone already know about on this board... haak, mk-s, dj cutoff, mr. mystery, echano, etc...
But seriously... listen to some people's tracks.. not only the ones that have 50 replies.. but the ones that are at the bottom of the page with only 2 replies and 20 views.... it's sad how a lot of the new producers on this forum don't get the same feedback just because they are new...
just my opinion..
humm.. no. i have noticed lately A LOT of quality tracks around here. just like last year. the only difference is that people are now posting a lot more small samples instead of full tracks.
and, of course, all that people got signed all at the same time - you can't expect the same number of people to magically appear again in such short time.
Hey, I've been posting shitloads of tunes
Then again, only about half of it is trance... trance has started to get a bit boring...
chris is the laziest person ever and never does any work, blame him not me
me + state of matter have a new collab goin
and me + nik are making some new experimental fucked up thing
I posted a new track a week and a half ago that got largely overlooked on the forums, hehe.
Aside from that, I've done a remix of Naked Angel which I obviously haven't been allowed to post that I think is really good, and I'm putting the finishing touches on my latest big-room trance piece that I hope to post a sample of in the coming days.
In 04 there may be a collab in the works with JohnOC, plus countless other projects I'm sure! With school out of the way I'll have a lot more time to do what I really want to do, hehe.
Yeah, everyone's been doing their freakin Naked Angel remixes and not being able to post them. (Well... Apart from that one person...
)
I'm trying to do something (not quite sure what
) but I'm still a stinky slow newbie, so you can expect one track per Ice Age at best.
ive got a new tune in the works, should be posted up in the next day or two!
mr fundamental has heard a snippet of it already lol
another of my techier stuff

lol im trying mate just adding the finishing touches and then doing a rough master ATM
after that its all about the FX which i should finish tomorrow
as everyone is posting what the hell they're doing, well........
i've got like 20 tunes in the making, but i know i won't finish a single one of them cause i'm a lazy bastard who can't produce and can't do anything more than a couple loops
damn it's being long since the last tune (february or something
)
next guy............
Doing a Collab with Luke that's turning out really well, might have to wait a bit to hear.
Works Currently in progress:
Echano - Nothing Left To Live For (Bren-F pres. Force 10 Remix)
Force 10 - Cyclone
Force 10 is a bit of a new project from me, its a harder edge Trance alias - not full on hard trance but just slightly harder
I've never really tried anything like what Cyclone will hopefully sound like so I have no intentions of sending it off to labels (It's just for fun) so I'll give it a hi-fi release here on TA
Gary Jules - Mad World (Bren-F's Forward Thinking Progressive Dub)
Gary Jules - Mad World (Bren-F Vocal Club Mix)
I'm not 100% sure the vocal club mix (which is tha mad trance-anthem of the 2 remixes compared to the chillier dub
) will ever be finished as the vocals are really giving me headache to fit into the track.
However the Dub mix should. It's not full on progressive, it still has a melodic feel to it but its much more minimal and chilled then my other stuff (quite depressing aswell)
Don't ask me about timescales on these tho cause I've been working early shifts latley so my production time has been rare to say the least.

I post every now and then in the production area, but I havent actually posted any songs yet. Currently i'm doing a bunch of remixes that dont really count for anything, but i've gotten so much better in the last 6 months that im not willing to share anything from that time period. I do have a track in the works for my premiere that I will post up soon.
Love what I hear from some of you guys though. Some of the songs in these forums are very intimidating. But I doubt there is much better critisizm in any other online forums.
Sean have you mailed your Naked Angel mix yet? Think it's too late?
I finally mailed it off last week; hopefully it won't get lost in the mail, hehe.
i think that all the veteran producers on the board should commit to making 1 complete 192kps track solely for publication on TA to show their commitment and love to the site
i for one am willing to make a decent trance tune and make it available to everyone on here
i hereby nominate the following to make a track and post a 192:
1. Haak
2. Endre
3. Bren F
4. Lightworks
5. Echano (another one please :P)
6. State of Matter
7. Luke Terry
8. MKS
9. DJ Sean
10. Emota
any more nominations are welcome.
when we get the final 10-15 tracks, we can burn all full quality mp3s to a CDR and ship out to some DJs/Labels
