strengthening your immune system

anyone got any suggestions?

mine sucks..

and i'm really sick at the minute.. but i'm not gonna let this happen next year!!

hmm...not sure if it's true, but i've heard if u do lots of exercise your immune system weakens

but as for something that works...if u mean just getting over the common flu etc...drink lotsa water seems to help me often

i heard if u eat a clove of garlic everyday you will see good results

this one guy did it for years, and his girlfriend started to bitch so he stopped and the next week he got sick! but he went back and a few years has not been sick now...

take cold showers

start by turning the water cold at the end for a second or 2 and increase the time until u can take a a full cold shower.

my sister does this and she hasn't been sick in 7 years. personally, id rather get a cold every once in a while than do that.

It works. I take a garlic pill every day during flu season. Haven't had a cold in ages.

eat some fruit or dont eat anything bad.

personally i eat all sorts of crap that does no good to my body, i drink and smoke, but i feel fine...for now

but i have a general tip for mouth ulcers, to avoid them that is.

drink plenty of water to lessen the probability of getting one, or more.

theres nothing worse than a mouth ulcer on a shitty day.

well of course. if your exersizing too much your overexerting your body and making it exhausted and thus weakend.

getting just a nice amount of exersize everyday is important for being healthy.
make sure you eat healthy and get alot of vitamin C. i take a supplement called Juice+ which is essentially all the concentrated nutriets from friut and vegetables that is recomended to be eaten every day. you take two pills in the morning for the fruit and two pills for the vegetables at night.
drinking lots of orange juice also helps. also so is water.
and washing your hands before you eat is very very important.

Dont use anti bacterial soap. The immune system is like a muscle, youve got to use it to strenghten it. Its gotta get some germ exposure or else it will be helpless when it does. Not to mention germs will build up resistance to antibiotics, which fucks the people who really need them,

Garlic, green tea, anything with a lot of anti oxidants does the trick.

OJ and lots of fruit. try the herbal supplement Echinacea. works wonders!! i swear by it, when i feel i am coming down with something i take lots of it. works so well.

The immune system is tricky, its usually a matter of genetics and preventing things that will weaken it, rather that encouraging things that will strengthen it.
There's the obvious things like getting enough sleep and avoiding stress...
Most people fall short on the diet, not enough veggies and fruits (variety).
Some things that are hard to get in the American diet are zinc, magnesium, B vitamins...
