hangover cures...

post your hangover cures. went to see john creamer last night,
and it was an open bar, and you know how your friends get the
drinks in rounds, and i got fubared, and i cant remember shit
from creamer's set and then i was getting sick and had to leave.

really stupid on my part.

anyways, the hangover ensues. what has been your most effective hangover cure?

There is no such thing as a hangover cure.
Just drink water.

(hence you see people drinking bloody mary's the next day)
others use aspirin, other say running around and then falling
asleep is good. ive regurgitated twice since this morning,
i ate some food because i was hungry, but it feels i might
hug the porcelaine woman once more... bah....

A cold budweiser or budlight helps alot. Or you can eat Menudo, its a Mexican dish. You can find it in most grocery stores.

actually, the tomato does actually help. tomato juice
is a real pick me up for a hungover day. and its not
that your going to magically be "cured", but just shit
that helps...

plus, i have a 20inch dick, so some might be speaking
the truth...

It's not the tomatoes in a bloody mary that helps the hangover, it's the alcohol.

then whya bloody mary and not vodka, or whisky or anything
pure? yes the alcohol helps, but relying on alcohol for
hangovers can lead to alcoholism

Well, thought I should let you all know, preventative medicine is the best...

i did say pure tomato juice in a previous post.
just the combination of it with alcohol is supposed
to help more than just the tomato juice...

Why would it be?

It curdles in your stomach, takes over 20 minutes to pass through, unlike water. Slower absorption.

So what? The point of drinking water is to rehydrate urself. The faster it absorbes the better, because u get rehydrated quicker. Also water is (more or less) 100% water, and therefore more potent than milk.

Drink water. Real hard, huh?

Couldn't have put it better myself.

The problem with a hangover is that you can only prevent it (by drinking lots of water before going to bed). Once you have it, you have to tough it out. Just take Advil for the pain and watch a movie or something. Take a nap, eat a meal. Just take it easy for the day. You'll be alright by supper time (unless you're really wrecked).

Alcohol, it seems to me would be one of the worse things for a hangover. Aside from dehydrating you further, with your stomach as sensitive as it is, wouldn't a drink just make you want to vomit anyway?

Well it would help, but i cant see how it would help more than water.
Probably placebo.

Your body loses nutrients when you drink, so eating a big breakfast like eggs and toast and everything (if you can manage to keep it down) helps. You also dehydrate so water helps as well.

It depends on what you drank too, some drinks you're going to have a hangover no matter what cuz of what they have in them.
