DESIDEL: So long has it been since you've been back here?

MATT HARDWICK: I did a party in Toronto around 2 years ago at the Exhibition Center downtown. It was quite strange actually since they had to evacuate the party about half way through my set. So my set got split in half but it was a great party. I'm just really glad to be back and it was as cold [outside] as this as well.

even crazier, Darren Emerson:

quote:

As Darren got accustomed to the hectic round of gigs that has since gone on to be his career norm, a friend of his suggested he team up with his brother-in-law musician, a guy called Rick Smith. Rick, he told him, was part of a band called Underworld. Along with friend Karl Hyde, Rick had achieved some short-lived pop success, firstly as part of early 80s band Freur (who, apparently, were massive in Israel and Italy) and then with Underworld, at one point playing to 96,000 people at Toronto's Skydome (when supporting the Eurythmics in 1990).

*le sigh*

i didn't go, but if i am right in thinking that i have now missed him three times, then i am beyond bitter

lets attempt to throw another one!

well there are 290 TOTAs, we all have acess to downtown. If each could spend one day sitting at a corner with old clothes and a Tim Horton's cup, we can collect enough money to throw such parties again!

That was honestly one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed!! Rabbit In The Moon blew my mind and till this day i still talk about it like it was yesterday. Absolutely amazing night under the big tents at the Docks with a massive disco ball hoisted in the air on a crane. 99 & 2000 marked the death of TO's rave scene but it was the best years of my life! The party's aren't the same nor is the culture but it's still good times. Hopefully NYE this years Destiny will be a good one. Maybe I'll see you all there? Laterzzz

Yeah I remember that night. I went down to the better living centre to check it out. Saw a MASSIVE line up to get in and decided to go to atlantis instead for some dumb 103.5 halloween party.
