Your thoughts on these people
Hi,
Eiffel 65 of Blue fame. I was just listening to some of their music and am wondering if anyone else feels the same way.
Their music (beats, arrangement) is decent; some of it is quite good, if you are into that kind of music. I get the feeling that their lyrics kill them off. Check out the lyrics for this song: Another race
"its another race from outer space.
its another race away, away.
its another race from outer space.
its another race away, away.
they seem to walk on air,
and they act pretty strange.
they live around us,
but you cant recognize them
we cant communicate.
with theyre one way brain.
no matter how you try,
you just wont understand them.
its another race from outer space.
its another race away, away.
its another race from outer space.
its another race away, away.
and they think they got it made,
theyre right, but theyre wrong.
and they try to use our words
but its a lie."
They sing in a kind of funny way but all of their words are audible, so you cant ignore what they are saying and concentrate on the music in the background. I have been giggling through every song I have heard, how can they be taken seriously?
I feel they would/will have better luck if they concentrated on music and dumped their lyrics writer altogether or at least hired a better one.
Does anyone else feel the same way, wouldn't they get more respect as a pure electronic-no lyrics group?
Chill,
TCT
Actually, my appreciation for Eiffel 65 runs deep. I feel that they got the shaft in both the pop-music scene and the electronic scene since their song was played too much for the EDM's tastes and the pop-magnates weren't interested in any of their other work (in America anyway). I love their music; it can be both poignant and uplifting, as well as fun to dance to.
oh my god your kidding right?
no, sorry

I can understand the appreciation for eiffel 65 too. Even if blue was cheese, they were still going against the pop norms with their other stuff, and weren't afraid what people thought about it.
I don't care what anybody says but Eiffel 65's 2nd album 'Contact!' OWNZ!
