Red face

Hello back to you,

Dumb question I gather.

You got an answer?

TCT

Posted by Pio on Dec-17-2003 16:37:

techno doesn't have much to do with commercial dance music as the media would have you to believe.

darude-sandstorm is epic euro cheesy whatever you wanna call it trance, it follows that structure and that ideal.

techno can be many things, but it's typically more minimal, more banging, and less melodic than trance. it also follows a different structural process.

you've probably never heard actual techno in your life, so you should check out some of the djs that are being mentioned here.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply and reasonably clear description.

Like you said, I wont know it till I hear it. I will check some of the music out one of these days.

Chill,
TCT

fully agreed, if you come to France, please visit the REX club. It's the Laurent Garnier's club and the fav club of Jeff Mills.

techno is far better than trance imo. theres so much more varietry and the quality of dj that spins techno is 8/10 times better than those who spin trance. i used to be a bit of a trance fan but honestly theres just so much more to techno than trance.

Chris Liebing is in the list. My wrong in Beyer, I didn't remember him, SORRY! to all of you. I didn't forget Umek and Kruse, the rest of names you posted I don't have a clue except Miss Kitten. If I start to say names of Dj's who are very good for me maybe you won't know so... I made a list of the most popular techno Dj's in the world and actually I think the list is decent except in the case of Adam Beyer.
