Posted by gumble on Dec-18-2003 00:48:

i was pretty upset when my dog had to put down :/

hope ure ok, take it easy.

Posted by muli on Dec-18-2003 00:48:

im ok, will probably suck when i get home from work tho...

u know he is always around n stuff

Posted by Xavier on Dec-18-2003 00:55:

my dog had to be put down earlier this year.

Apparently the Spine and the nervous system were fucking up for no apparent reason.

My dog could only move its back legs, and for months there was unexplained incontinence. I did a bit of research and it happened to be Degenerative Myleopathy, which affects large dogs like German Shepherds.

Sorry to hear that dude.

I sorta know how ya feeling, only difference is my dog went for a walk and never came back.

awww i can relate....my poor lil kitty cat (name was Tiesto ) was found dead earlier this year...don't know what happened to him

just remember the awesome life u gave him i'm sure he'd want u to be thinkin of all the happy times u shared

(and btw...this may sound morbid, but if he had a collar, maybe take it off him and keep it - i wasn't thinking straight at the time, and i buried my cat with his collar on....i regret it now, cos i wish i had his lil collar and taggy to remember him by )

How the hell do you keep an ant as pet??

Sorry to hear Muli

When I was young, I had a pair of lovely ducks, brought them when they were tiny ducklings with my own money, raised them for 2 years, and then had to give them away because the neighbours were complaining.
Ahh, I remember one of them farked up one of it's leg, and I had to bandaged it and treat it until it could walk properly.

*nostalgia*

Always sad loosing a pet.

its really quite simple just get a glass container put sum dirt and u know natural environment stuff so the ant feel comfortable and volah! bread crumbs is good for its food and lil water container on the side

Condolences Dan

I don't know what it's like to lose a pet (or even a close family member), and I'm not looking forward to the end of my dog's life either

how did you keep a pair of ducks... did you have their wings clipped or did they magically love you so much they didn't want to fly away? I think i want a pair of ducks now!

sorry about your dog muli! hope you will feel better soon.

Awwww that sucks muli Hope you are okay tho!

I can relate to this as my cat which I had for 12 years had to be put down a couple of months ago. I came home from work one day wondering where the cat was (as it would always greet me at the door) and my dad told me he took it to the vet that morning cause it didn't look well. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything for it cause it was pretty sick so they had to put it down But yeah even now it feels pretty strange coming home and not having it around.

Sorry to hear that.

Never had a pet but i've always wanted to get a huskie or a Dingo.. But i'm not sure that i'd have time to properly take care of it.

Posted by muli on Dec-18-2003 09:58:

fuck, it really hit me when i got home tonight

You dont realise how much he is part of the family till he was gone.

Time to play some tunes to cheer me up i think

we were going to get our dog put down one day, then when that day came along it dropped dead before we had the chance ;(

it was a nice gesture, that did save us $200

Posted by tubby on Dec-18-2003 22:57:

had to go give my kiddies a big hug hearing this. I can't imagine what i'll feel like when eventually either of my dogs passes on.
Mrs tub wasn't impressed when I said I wanted one of my dogs as the best man at our wedding, but they really are your best friends.
