anyone else here working over this period?
officially our office closes today until Jan 5, but someone has to cover those emergency calls, and if I wasn't here I'd have to be on call anyway. This way I get full pay to answer 3 or 4 phone calls a day, and save my leave to take a break after working o/s during the year. I did this last year and was bored stupid. There's only so much websurfing you can amuse yourself with, alone in the office 8 hours a day. www.lemonadegame.com was my constant companion last year. Any other ideas how to kill the time?

I'm working on Christmas, Boxing day, NYE (till 11pm) and possibly new years day as well - beat that.

I finish at lunchtime on Christmas Eve and go back on the 5th January.

None of this comes out of my annual leave so I am happy!

I don't finish until tomorrow, but then I'm off until the 5th of January. It all comes out of my annual leave though
