alright i was gonna post this in the chillout room but i think this idea would go to waste in there..basically u give a line or two lines of a song..and the next person to post must name the song and then give their lyrics...watch ill go first

"I'd go out tonight but i havent got a stitch to wear"

just decided this mnight be a bit hard so new rule u have to name the genre or any other clue u think would be helpful

hint: old rock band early 80's

LASID - This Charming Man

the full lyrics go:

Punctured bicycle
On a hillside desolate
Will nature make a man of me yet ?

When in this charming car
This charming man

Why pamper life's complexity
When the leather runs smooth
On the passenger seat ?

I would go out tonight
But I haven't got a stitch to wear
This man said "it's gruesome
That someone so handsome should care"

Ah ! A jumped-up pantry boy
Who never knew his place
He said "return the ring"
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things

I would go out tonight
But I haven't got a stitch to wear
This man said "it's gruesome
That someone so handsome should care"
La, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man ...
Oh, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man ...

Ah ! A jumped-up pantry boy
Who never knew his place
He said "return the ring"
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things

New York version adds :

I would go out tonight
But I haven't got a stitch to wear

I would go out tonight
But I haven't got a stitch to wear
Oh, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man ...
Oh, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man ...

Ah ! A jumped-up pantry boy
Who never knew his place
He said "return the ring"
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things

edit: oops my track

"It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do"

painted on myheart by the cult

I contemplate the day we wed.
Your friends are boring me to death.
Your veil is ruined in the rain.
By then you like to do without.
There's nothing new to talk about.
And though our kids are blessed,
the parents let them shoulder all the blame.
