Welcome to TA, sitara.

I recommend The Green Room.

Posted by sitara on Dec-20-2003 04:14:

y..thank you Bliss, i checked the place out on the website..it really looks cool!

when you say 'chill out' do you mean grab drinks?

green room(bloor)/red room (spadina) are good places ppl have mentioned just to go chill. they are cheap and the food isn't bad- service is slow but it doesn't really matter b/c most ppl who go there are more interested in having drinks and socializing.

labrynth aka 'the Lab' is also a good place. it's on brunswick at bloor (near green room). they have cheap martini's wednesday night and cheap drinks on thurdays.

Insomnia is a little nicer place to go for drinks...also in teh annex (on bloor)

there are some really nice places in little italy as well. alto basso (place i had my bday drinks) is really nice (cheap drinks on thsurday b4 10)

a really gorgeous place to get martini's (not cheap) is wild indigo on college. that would be a good place to take a date IMO.

if you're looking for something a little more classy, try Lobby on Bloor or Remmys on Yorkville. Awesome drinks and food not so awesome prices tho

The best place to chill in T.O. After that hit any timmies on the westside.

I work right close to there and I see weird shit on a regular basis, I can't imagine it on a sketchy Saturday. You can't forget CAMH right across the street, that's where all the weirdness eminates from.

Yes i must agree about the Green Room. Kinda hard to find but has best nachos in town and affordable beers...

Rasta

if you like coffee, hit Timothy's
theres one in Richmond Hill on Yonge & major mack(i think)
and theres another in Markham on 14th ave & Markham Rd. I usually hit the Markham one. If you're uptown and dont feel like drinking

EDIT: The one on yonge & major mack is Williams, my bad

I used to really like UP AND DOWN on Adelaide. Small intimate 2 storey lounge. Fireplace downstairs. Velvet couches upstairs. DJ used to spin wicked Trip Hop on Thursday nights. But sadly... by the looks of the website...the DJ spins mostly R&B, HIP HOP, Latin or Funk.

If you are looking for cheap drinks, good music and friendly vibe...try COBALT on College. I agree with charmscars ..Wild Indigo is a great spot to chill with date.
