Thumbs up The Dream Traveller - Guardians of the Earth

a1 - original mix
b1 - dub

Remember this guy? He made the opening track on Oakenfold's Tranceport back in 1998...some classic stuff. Well this sound is completely different. Some VERY nice dark progressive trance with an underlying breakbeat and an oldskool trance feel to it. I actually haven't listened to the original mix, I went straight for the dub which has some very nice atmospheric vocals, kept to a happy minimum where they work nicely.
I give the Dub an 8/10

i love structure he released earlier this year. the most underrated tune this year with an amazing mesmorizing chanting. no one even mentions it ever. gonna check this out

memories....

uses the vocals from Guardians of the Earth - Starchildren. which some people seem to think is Bjork, when it's definately Jes, that sung in Starchildren. just thought I'd clear that up.

as for the song itself... I'm not a prog head, so Starchildren kicks it's ass.

Dream Traveler Mix

Yo... Any chance someone could float me a copy of this mix? They never told me DreamTraveler did a remix... Id dig hearing it
Also hoping someone might have the Oakenfold Stateside 11-02 set where he played my tune 'mind thoughts body' ...
Much appreciated!

Whoa, neat. Guardians

Hey Mike. Did you really make Starchildren and One Moon Circling? If you are I bow down before you as the most awesome trance-artist on the Net (at least the best one I ever heard.) Too bad mp3.com got shut-down.....

Anyways, can you tell me what programs you used for Starchildren's electro-organ sounds?

Posted by Guardian on Mar-12-2004 11:11:

Yeah, I wrote those tunes... a long long time ago Thanks for your kind words tho Im not exactly sure what you mean by 'electo-organ' sound... I write all my music using Logic Platinum, and some synthesizers... If memory serves, the two main synths I used on that tune were my Juno-106 and my Access Virus b .. I think that was the first tune I used the virus on, since I had just gotten it... If you're referring to the main lead sound that comes in after Jes' voice, that was done using the Juno and a couple of recording tricks...
Glad you liked it!

Awesome! I wonder if Fruitloops, Reason, or Buzzmachine could create anything like that synthesis and vocal fusion with Jes in Starchildren.

BTW, Mike, what are your recent works? Do you have a website where you show your music?

Posted by Guardian on Mar-13-2004 01:40:

You can do some pretty amazing things these days with software alone. Fruityloops and Reason are particularly useful.
When I do new guardians tracks, I post them on:
