need purchasing advice!!!
after writing in a few wrong forums and not getting many replies i realized that i'm a dumb ass and should have written here first haha, so here is my original post...
"hey everyone thanx for readin this, i've been lookin for sum equipment new or used for a while and i got an offer from a friend for two MK3-1200s and 2 needles with an American DJ -BattleDeck-. he says he paid 700 for each turntable and 400 for the mixer, (all prices are Canadian) he is offering me the whole set up for $1350 (once again canadian, it'd be roughly $1010 American). I know everything will be in good shape and he'll be there if i need help so it seems liek its a pretty good deal to me, everything else i've found seems to be either more expensive or i'd have to buy brand new which would be super expensive. anyways i'm just wonderin what everyone thinks, should i buy or should i pass on the offer and keep lookin??? thanx again!

sounds good... maybe just buy the 2 techs, hold the mixer,
and save up for something better? but overall sounds good...
I got two mk3's on ebay for around 650 total (US). My mixer was 150, originally 300.

The two Techs & mixer are sitting next to me, don't think the price will jump
I just bid on many many 1200's, watched the price on "my ebay" page, and eventually found some for $300 a piece.
oops
hahahaha ooooops my bad i thought u meant u were selling some on ebay lol thats why i said what i did, neeevermind then
i just bought a pair of m3d's on ebay for $510 that are supposed to be in good shape, i will find out when they get here on monday. i bought my first set of technics for $300 and sold them a few years later for $500. after that i bought them brand new for about $500 apiece, then sold that pair with a $500 mixer for about $800 all together, although they were a bit banged up (this is all in USD). so it's hard to say... but it sounds like you could find them for cheaper if you wanted.

A great way to get cheap prices on ebay is to bid on auctions with NO pictures. Then you email them about it, and most will provide you with pics via email. So you still have the pics, but noone else will unless they email the guy, dropping bidder confidence and hence the price.
