McDonalds Commercials
does it bother anyone else that McDonalds commercials feature adds that stress cheap cheap cheap menues while only featureing minorities as actors, mainly black, (for instance a group of black guys cant afford gas but they can afford McDonalds). Or they are targeting white kids with there happy meals that seem to have everything.
just a thought
nope...they only show fat white guys for KFC commercials...
Nope not at all.. personally I think Mccy Ds should adopt a more succesful and appealing advertising policy, such as the one Abercrombie and Fitch (see http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=148357 for examples). I want to see sexy nude people when I think of McDonalds, it would seem so much more appealing to eat.
they just need to talk with A&F's ad campaign then, and they'd be mint!
yeah...what's up with that anyway? i know when i try to sell clothes i advertise people not wearing any...

I've never really given it a great deal of thought, coz Burger King's are better anyway!!
Some Mackey D adverts are class though. That one where they gave money-saving tips in the form of carpet-shoe-things

Instead of buying a whole brand new carpet, simply purchase two small sample pieces, and attach them to your feet, giving you that warm, comfy feeling all over the house. |
In review in recent events, maybe McDonals should tell us, with sexy naked people no doubt, how they hate Canada and do not buy or deal with any cows from Canadain origin.

| Originally posted by Galapidate I can see why you think there's this "cool to be black" trend, but I see it in different ways. One that annoys me most is the new AOL 9.0 commercial with the couple's fish made up of AOL discs. Then Snoop Dogg makes a cameo appearance :P |
I think as long as McDonald's doesn't introduce a special Spinal Burger or a Downed Cow Quarter Pounder, then they'll avoid the Mad Cow scare...

McDonald's is purposely targetting the African American community in their commercials... I was actually pondering this the other day... My guess is they feel that the bulk of their customers are African-American... Personally (being from whitesville i.e. Westfield) when I think of McDonald's i think of stupid soccer mom's in their ugly ass green minivan's with their annoying ass kids sitting in line at the drive-thru...

| Originally posted by Redeye I agree 100% I was in a MCD in philly the other day and I asked for BBQ Sauce. This MCD was not in the best of areas, but it wasn't the worst either. They wanted 30 cents for each pack of bbq sauce. I don't mind paying 30 cents, but when I know if I go to the MCD by me they give them away for free. Now, I don't know if this is a MCD policy to charge for bbq sauce in poorer urban areas and not charge in more affluent suburban areas, but to me, its totally fucked |

| Originally posted by NYGblue whoah that is fucked... its weird... the richer and more affluent you are the less things you have to pay... Lil Kim brags about how she gets Versace for free... she gets so much money she could buy a couple of those stores out... why does she get that stuff for free... (besides the obvious marketing reasons) it just stinks... not that I want Versace, god knows id never wear but still... |
