FL 4.1 Skipping
Hey I'm trying to make the switch from Reason to FL Studio since with reason I can't use VSTi's, and when running Reason and Cubase in rewire I get very high latency...
So anyways, I just made the switch and I occasionaly get skipping in playback and it is even there if i render to wav and playback the wav... A solution would be great, anybody have any ideas? My cpu is pretty powerful too... Athlon XP 2400+ with a gig of DDR Ram...
EDIT: Now it just crashed for no reason it all... just dissapeared from the screen
options/audio settings
buffer length = max
polling = on
hardware buffer = on
Off topic, but I PM'd you back a few days ago, and haven't yet recieved a reply..
If you declined my offer, atleast tell me so.

What soundcard do you have?

What your cpu usage.
I got an XP2400+ and 1.5G RAM, and a good few vsti's at once and its skipsville.
Turn smart disable one to hibernate vsti's when they arent being used and try and export the loops that you can into wav form so as to not take up so much processing power.
FL4 is a notorious resource hog, so I dont think there's much else you can do.
Best o luck
Afraid you won't get much better latency in FL Studio than in Cubase+Reason. It's a lot more convenient to work all in one program though.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, that. Haha, that's easy. That's you forgetting to adjust your streaming buffer. Go to Audio Settings and drag the bar all the way to the right and you should be fine.
Matter is right, check the Audio Buffer.
uh.. didnt someone mention something like that right after he asked?
