the "sick of christmas" thread

for everyone who is sick of red hats, blinking lights, stress at home because EVERYTHING'S GOTTA BE READY FOR CHRISTMAS, the candles, the trees, the gifts to buy, (even if i'm an egocentric selfish mother****** who won't buy anything for anyone), the constant reminders each 5 mins on TV that 'It's Christmas ho ho ho' by some retarded santa claus on a retarded commercial and retarded tv presenters with huge faken smiles

Well I'm not Christian so I don't really care about the Jesus bit but it's as good an excuse as any to get some time off school/work and spend time with the people you love, so I'm all for it.

Well our family doesn't go too overboard on the gift giving so we usually remain fairly sane.

I hate Christmas traffic. I live in a city with a mall about a mile away from me. It's a nightmare trying to go out and do anything, totally ruins the fun of driving. I try to take as many backroads as I can and stay off the main highway from "Black Friday" all the way till Jan.

The best bit about Christmas for me is the food. We have a Christams dinner, as you do, and then have a full-on buffet afterwards with all of the cooked meats, rolls, crisps, nuts, chocolates etc that was left over from the dinner, as well as other stuff. The whole thing lasts about 3 days!! And you can eat as much as yu like constantly.

I highly recommend it to everyone!!

Agreed, though I'd really hate to have to cook all that stuff

And yeah, I'm sick of christmas too - spent the last two days standing in various queues. Waste of time.

The christmas music alone is enough to drive me insane...it's not that it's really bad music (some of it is)...it's just played everywhere over and over with 10 versions of the same song...someone please make it stop.

YAAAAAAAAAA, i am SICK of x-mas!!!! I work in retail... so the mall is crazyyy packed with last minute shoppers. You know, most of the people who buy gifts aren't even doing it because they care about the person or because they wanna celebrate x-mas.... but they are buying gifts because they expect a gift back in return!

Well since I built a set for a version of Christmas Carol starting in august and spent a week installing it in october, I would say I had had my fill of christmas stuff by early november.
