Dunno The Best Delerium Album

What is the best Delerium album out there? I am looking to buy one but never listened to them besides Silence.

Karma or Semantic Spaces...
Poem was okay, but not the best nor the worst.

And isn't it more suited for general discussion forum?

not really, it's kind of a CD Review. But hey what do I know. I'll probably just go with the cheapest CD of Delerium I can find to get a sample of it since the only thing I have heard is Silence. Are they considered Ambient?

yeah, you could say that it's mostly ambient stuff,

Karma is the best of the recent albums. Be warned though its down-tempo even depressing at times.
Poem is a really nice album, still down-tempo but a lot more relaxed than Karma.
Chimera is the worst Delerium album, they threw some nice pop hooks, but the depth is just not there anymore.

Oh, and if you like electronic songs with SF samples, or if you like electronic music at all you MUST get Spheres 2 (Spheres 1 is good too but 2 is genius). Its an amazing album, unlike anything Delerium has done before or will do again, in fact quite unlike anyone has ever done. Theres no vocals in it (except for the SF samples) just pure, haunting, beautiful electronic music.

If you're still not convinced here are 2 other reviews of it:

ask wicked neo

he is the biggest delerium freak of all them.

it all depends on his taste, if he has only heard a Trance Remix of Silence then he may not like original Delerium material

Karma was released in 1997 which had the original version of silence on it

Poem and Chimera are the 2 latest albums.

Poem having tracks like 'underwater' and 'innocente' on it which had trance remixes
Chimera having 'after all' and 'truly' on it which also had trance remixes.

if you are just after the trance remixes of Delerium material then go for

Delerium - Odyssey

its a double cd album containing only the trancier remixes of

Silence (Tiesto ISOS Remix & Fade's Sanctuary & Michael Woods Remix)
Underwater (Above & Beyond & Mauve's Mixs)
Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey Remix & Key South Remix)
Innocente (Deep Dish & Mr Sam's Mixes)
Duende (Bleak Desolation Mix & Spirtual Collapse Mix)
Flowers Become Screens (Return Mix & Frequency Modulation Mix)
Incantation (12" Mix)
Euphoria (Firefly) (Divine Gothic Disco Mix)

Also if u like Delerium, try out some Conjure One tracks too

Rhys Fulber is Conjure One and used to be involved with Delerium and still helps out Bill Leeb with Delerium projects.
