I really need some inspiration for lead synths...or a guide on how to create lead synths...I can never find a good sound and I'm hopeless and creating orginal molodies. - Probably because i don't play/read music

If anyone has any ideas on how to help please email or post back.

Okay, got it. Sounds like you have the basic idea of what you're doing, but I agree, it needs a main lead of some kind, it's too boring and doesn't go anywhere. The vocals are cool though.

i have to say.. i can see what u were going for i think.. or.. well.. ok.. i think it is absolutely awesome.. everything except for the actual synth sounds.. it sounds really cheap... the actual music doesnt.. just the sounds.. i ran into the same problem using just the default things that came with fruity loops.. i have to say that reason really makes the difference with its variety of synths.. but of u like how fruity loops is setup.. i would suggest getting a vst plugin like native instruments pro53 or something like that to pick up the slack that fruity loops leaves behind.. your song is just awesome.. the only thing you need to change is tweaking the sounds really.. it may take a while to get a good sound but just keep messing around... my suggestion is try to make it less dry it sounds really raw.. ad spome effects to the that agressive melody you have going.

so yeah.. the melody sounds really cool.. its just you need to do something about the synth sounds ur making for the melody/lead

Thanks alot for your helpful review...I realised the song was a bit raw and bland...bare in mind it's my very first attemp using FL Studio.

I'll try and change the sounds...the uploading file is the second edit (with lead synth) - I don't think it goes with the track either - it's out of key and me knowing little about music thought I could get away with it.

that sounds a lot better.. i am only using the equivalent to laptop speakers right now.. and it still sounds better.. so.. i am going to listen to it again with some actual speakers in a little while and make another reply.

my review of the newer version:

. gotta change the kick, it basic (unless you want that happy hardcore kick sound)
. the lead is bloody cool!
. need's more percussion, drum rolls, etc.
. get's boring
