i have an hp 950 C injet printer. it came with my pc.
i dont know if naming the printer will help. anyways i was looking through alot of hp photo paper. matte finish. extra glossy and all.

i got matte everyday finish but the quality is not that great and i wanted to get a paper that has near photo quality prints. i should've gotten the glossy ones but i'm afraid that it won't dry properly on an inkjet and become smudgey when touched.

i don't know what is the standard one to get. can someone help me

Some stores have a sampler pack, like 4x6 and other sizes and finishes. Quality generally depends on your own definition. If you want real photo quality for wallhanging or keepsake, take your disc down to the copy store and let them print it for you on one of their $5,000 color laser machines; shouldn't cost more than a couple bucks and they supply the paper.
