BTW, if you're looking for professional journalism, you might be disappointed. If you're looking for an interesting read, useful information, and dancing purple hippos, then enjoy.
EDIT: And a little clip of this sound in action in my track, Sapphire:

Trancevision

nah great work sharing this mate!, though i use reason now not fl anymore .
Nice Tutorial!
Gonna check it out after x-mas!
ps: im new here! So i wanna just say "Hi!" to everybody!
Sweet!!! Thanks State, this is what I wanted for Christmas
Holy shit, that sample sounds awesome dude.
yea really nice sample, giv me a link to the full song once you've finished it
grtz
NP guys, glad you enjoyed it.
MK-S: Thanks! Sorry the tutorial isn't really useful for the Reason crowd but you're not one to need one, so no big deal.
DeZmA: The track's been available on my site for nearly a month.
EDIT: It is an outdated version though, i've raised the production quality on it a little bit, less clicking hi hats and a smoother sound, better eq, plus i've added the sweeping synths to the breakdown like you hear in the sample.
I tried that tutorial and my pad sounded like junk
Man I suck at programming. I need like one of those visual tutorials with a mouse showing exactly whats goin on. Fuck this, i'm saving up for a jp8000 and gettin those veangence banks. pad problems solved. it's enough of a headache mixing and mastering and coming up with a good melody and bassline, than to also have to worry about synth programming. It's a shame because if i knew how to program id be unstoppable. I got signed to Above The Sky Records this month, and only last christmas i was playing around with ejay. It sucks for those who havew good musical skills but no programming skills. If only they would come out with the trance patch generator
State, where did you learn how program synths so well? Is it just one of those inborn talents?
great tutorial... just gotta fix my PRO53 now, caus for some freaking reason i only get it as a DXi and not as a VSTi....
soo the hole pluggin is messed up.. for example i can't have 2 notes on each other..... if i do it will only play one of them... and becaus of this i can't use it for strings/pads :/
dbl: Thats not a bug man, that's unison at work. Unison concentrates all voices into one note so that there are none left for other notes. It makes that one note very thick.
trancenrg: You probably skipped a step. I did a supersaw lead tutorial back in early spring and people skipped steps like pressing the "kbd" button. I'd go through it once more and follow my instructions exactly
I reuploaded the site after clarifying a few things that might have been shady if you're not too familiar with the pro 53. As it is now, it's pretty cut and dry, just went through all the steps on the pro 53 to make sure I didn't leave anything out and it sounds as it should.

Awesome!!! Thanks for that tutorial! Its easy once someone shows you how.
First, thanks!
I tried this way but it wasn't the same sound as you put here.
Can someone upload the finished Pro-53's file then I'll see the difference?
Much gratitude to you, this will prove useful in my quest to produce at least semi-decent trance
My remix is gonna sound a bit better now
Ahh thx SoM, I followed your tutorial and realized that this sound really is pretty simple to recreate so I managed to make a pretty decent supersaw with the Malstrm too.
My tip for everyone reading this is to try understanding what all that knob-turning does instead of just blindly following the tutorial. Learned me something at least!
:
good job man, nice tutorial
I'm a bit confused. But now I think I know
Now I've treid the demo and the kbd knob probaly switched on when you make your pads.

you can use multiple instance of pro53 for chords..
good tutorial man, the clip sounds awesome

| Originally posted by Dance123 Hi State of Matter, Great sound, but just wondering: if there are no voices left for other notes, how are you supposed to play chords with this supersaw pad patch or isn't that possible?! I mean, isn't the idea of pad/string sounds that you can play them as chords? You can do this on the JP8000, am I right?! Also, if you can only play 1 note at the time, won't the the first note be cut off as soon as you hit a new note, so that you won't have a smooth transition between notes? PS: in that clip of your track Sapphire that you posted, did you play chords or is that a single note? Thanks in advance for the info! |

Holly fuck. I love that track! Where can i get it from?!
ok noob problem here.
when i go to load an empty file bank instrument thingy for the pro 53 it doesnt load, and i dont have that exact one it states in the tut but similar ones?
how can i load an empty preset?
Well, one idea would be to actually BUY the synth.
