Hey guys
A new remix from me ! Under a new alias Force 10
I'll be using this alias to produce some harder edge stuff. Not strictly hard trance but harder then my usual stuff

This track was originally my remix of 'Mono - Rise' Which sadly didn't make the vinyl
SO I decided to recycle the mix and I thought the 'Nothing Left To Live For' Would go well with the style
It has a similar structure to the original but is more suited to a melodic trance set.
Enjoy - All feedback welcome

And:

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !

This is really really nice, very pro stuff. First was skeptical about a hard mix of an Echano track, but this worked nicely.

k

the begin is wicked, baseline is awesome!

hmm in the intro the volume of the lead seems to change when the base line changes not sure if thats meant to happen, anyway massive intro!!! now the break coming.

hmm i don't really like the base pads, pinao sounds cool, the strings really nice!!
very nice how you work to the climax!

Now hearing the lead coming up, the synth is pretty good!

the piano is a bit soft needs more volume with the main lead, and actually i don't really think it fits with it, but thats a taste thing.

very nice try man, as state of matter said, this worked out very nicely!.

Glad U like the tune, more stuff coming soon as soon as I get sober

thats prob the compression level I have on it, not intentional but if it gets played in a club U wont hear the difference

Exactly, lol. Didn't think I'd like it, but you normally put out quality stuff so I had to give it a chance.

Don't really care for the phasing before the break. Also, the spot at 4:04 sounds out of place, like it comes out of nowhere. Blend it more though and it will sound great!

As said before, piano needs to be a tad louder due to the lead drowning it out. Other than that, sounds awesome! I really like how the piano goes with the lead.

thanks for the comments

Anyone else?

Great remix, very different from the Original, but still nice. that phaser realy cought me unpreperd :P haha, maybe you can soft it abit ?
Wicked bassline and beat .

Cheers.

Well, to be honest I don't really like this much.
It totally loses the vibe of the original and it has some sound issues as well... namely the phaser and the piano which sounds awfully lofi.
Also, the main part is too long for the little substance it has.

I know you can do better than this.

Can't please everyone I suppose

I'll do better next time

Smile

very different from the original, very good anyways.
new alias new style; this is still melodic trance though.
Tha bassline is great. Break is very beautiful as usually. Nice melody, perfectly suits with the piano, and very powerful.

Great job, hope we'll hear more stuff under Force 10.

Posted by dbl on Dec-25-2003 21:28:

sounds really nice...

but i don't like the piano

and the main part is a bit too long imo..

but otherwise a nice remix

Sounds definately nice there mate.

It didn't really sound 'harder' to me, except maybe for the kick. Maybe because pianos are rarely used by Cosmic Gate, Shokk etc that could lead me

I think a second bass layer could make the bass sound 'fuller'. At some parts (the lower freq bars in the melody) it sounds a bit less powerful than in other. It's a common problem I think, I've heard lots of already signed tunes with the same thing. I try to fix it with a second bass every now and then

Keep up the good work buddy!

Posted by djHollen on Dec-27-2003 22:10:

the production sounds real professional.

i dont like the piano in this version. some other sound would work better, something with a little more mid (also something harder to since this is a hard version). i dont know, i just didnt think the piano fit in this version to well.

however, you did a great job converting a wonderful melodic low energy song into one of high energy.

you also captured some of the feeling of the original, but the original is still the best. but that is not to say this is really good.

good job with this.

now you guys can release this on a vinyl!

call this remix that... i dont know if you realized.

I liked it. I'm dl the original now i'll post my real opinion later.

top remix mate.

Sounds very good m8! Production is very tight, very impressive buddy! I wouldnt say this is hard, just different, it is a great track however. One complaint, the phasing out of the synths (which I said when u sent the remix for the vinyl) still annoys me hehe, but its a personal thing hehe!

Good tune, keep it up

Shep

Heard the original and still this one is good, doesn't sound hard to me. You should turn up the piano a bit and the main part is a bit to long (i think). Anyway its a great track.

Posted by John on Dec-30-2003 20:17:

sounds great! only thing would be the main bit, like others said it's too long. and i'm not sure if the piano suits that part of the tune..
anyway, good work as always

minus the sound drop, the quality and the fuckups, I think it's a nice tune.

Posted by Sean Walsh on Jan-04-2004 23:55:

Comments as I listen:

-Pounding intro.
-Nice bassline.
-Cool hook.
-As someone else mentioned, the piano seems to come out of nowhere, but it sounds nice nonetheless.
-That flanger in the buildup sounds out of place and too extreme.
-The breakdown/buildup is a little drawn out I think, but sounds nice when the percussions finally kick back in.

I preferred the original, but overall this is very nice and there's nothing I can knock as far as production details are concerned. Good job.

Hey Bren...

Well...I personally love the original mix for echano's tune...absolutely great...so I wanted to hear some remixes and there was ur tune...so I'll give it a quick review... .

Intro...first minute or so...till the claps enter...great for mixing in an uplifting set..the bass sounds alright.
The reverse cymbal could be louder and a delay and reverb effect could be added to give it more depth.

The build-up is excellent man...real pro..excellent stuff...the melody is brilliant....though the 4:05 min. part...the strings suddenly cut-off...which is kinda weird... .
As I said...the reverse cym. and crashes...need to have more reverb.. .

The outro is also very good..I'll definetly be putting this in my next set...

Rating 8.5/10

Could u check out my remix for satisfaction...a couple of djs heard it and got excellent feedback...so I would appreciate a review...
