San Francisco Parties: 2005 Edition

Updated: January 18th, 2005

Note: All gigs are tentative. Do not consider a gig 100% confirmed until the promoter itself has announced it. Dates listed that are not announced by the promoter yet come from DJ agencies, DJ sites, Ticket-sale websites, etc and they will often will post a gig before it's 100% confirmed (as in, the agency receives the deposit from the promoter). It's rare that a gig posted later falls apart, but it does happen from time-to-time, so be aware.

Note that this list only contains major events and such and not what would be considered events only the local scene would be interested in. There are too many of those for me to keep up on.

wow....there's some great shows coming up. g & d will be off the hook....oakenfold and nick warren are also at the top of my list. dave, do you know if sasha and/or digweed ever come to san fran, cause i'd love to see them play.

Infected Mushroom is playing on 01-22-03 at some place called the deli???...prolly be down for that one if'n i can get a ticket...w00t!!!

and i have seen sasha and digweed in SF so yes they do come...

The Deli (where we are bringing Infected Mushroom to play) - as far as we know - is the only place licensed to have an 18+ entrence with 21+ to drink in the SF area. Since we wanted to allow 18+ a chance to see Infected Mushroom and still afford the venue - that was the venue of choice. I hope other promoters would follow our lead on that one and request other larger venues to get the same license. It is a relativly small venue holding only 750 people and we are sure the event will sell out - online presale tickets have already been sold out, so if you plan on buying door tickets - make sure you arrive early.

There are presale tickets left at the stores as of now - so be sure to check them first if you want to guarantee enterence and save a few.

My bad. I was up for basically three days straight when making the update. Misspelling fixed.

As far as the place, can't just go by the licenses when booking. Other stuff is really important such as the sound, lights, compacitiy. 750 people isn't much at all. And promoters don't want to have to worry about renting equipment to upgrade the sound and lights for every event.

I've never heard of "The Deli" ... pretty darn worried because of that...

"The Deli" is a great place and this would be a good way for you to check out a new venue. Regarding the sound system and lighting - we will have LiteBrite http://www.litebriteproductions.com...es/services.htm who are very professional and have very high quality equipment take care of all your sensory needs. The decoration is still a surprise but we promiss that there would be a great vibe and that this will be a show to remember.

Regarding the venue capacity - you are right - it is a small venue and that is why we encourage people to buy presales - this show will likely sell out. If you don't buy presales - arrive EARLY to buy door tickets.

All in all - this is going to be a great party - just remember to bring the love

Might check it out. Sorta not in an easy location for me to get to and back from since I don't have a car. Cab fare would probably be a bit expensive. Also on a worknigh. But I love Infected Mushroom. Hmmm, maybe if I can get a few people I know to go....not a huge fan of going to a gig w/o knowing anyone unless I am 100% sure I will be swept up by the music or the vibe...and I've never seen Infected Mushroom in person before, so the 100% chance is not possible.

With it being a new venue and all, any indication of how packed it will be? I mean, I doubt the casual person around here really knows who Infected Mushroom is.

Without getting too much into the math - we will try to answer your question since you deserve to know.
Their last show brought about 1300 people on a weekend to space550.
Considering the quality of the prior event, the vibe, the people, the music and the many more parameters - Our estimation is that no less then 30% of these same people will show up again on a weeknight event at a new venue. Add our current promotions and you get between 500 to 800 people - rough estimate.

We can not fit 800 people in this venue and that is why we posted the "arrive EARLY" warning - we can not let people in beyond the venue's legal capacity.

We want as many people to have fun and enjoy this amazing duo. Our aim is to get as many people such as yourself to this show - people who like listening to Infected Mushroom music - But were not lucky enough to see them perform live.

Don't miss this opportunity - it is very rare.

That's hardcore, dude. With it being a residency, it'll probably be another 5 hour set too, unless Spundae books someone else big to play alongside them that night which might happen since it's the week after WMC and Ultra.

haha that trip is farily cheap. less then $800 total for air + hotel. we might be staying over a week ,and 5 hours of G&D? Sounds like pure bliss to me and will make the trip worth while.

can anyone get us on a guest list or some sort and show us how to gave a good time?

i made email communication with dave before so I will drop him a line for sure when we plan on going up..

G&D wont come to hawaii because hawaii promotors suck, so might as well go where the talent is.

Damn i got bad news. My friend that was suppose to come up with me cant put in his request off because his boss put in his request off last month for march 20-30. ERR!!

I guess we will be making it out during April.
