Prayers to our TA Soldiers

I just wanna send out my prayers and best wishes to our TA soldiers that will be leaving for Iraq soon. My best friend, Charley (dancefever) left for Fort Dix, NJ today. He has about three weeks of training there and then hes getting shiped to Iraq. Best of luck bro and you better come back in one piece!!! Aaron (stringfelowhawk) will be leaving pretty soon also. It was really great partying with you @ Ferry man but im really sad to see you guys leave. Keep your heads up and just look forward to coming home

I sincerely hope our new president has enough common sense to bring these guys back home. There's honestly no need to send more troops out there. Here's an idea... why not make due with the fact that we've kicked the Iraqi's butts and let our Americans get back to their normal lives?

That's my political rant for the day.

I don't know who the candidates will be for 2004, but I've already decided who I'm definitely NOT voting for.

sorry i back our president up.. but i also know more than the average american so.. all's good!

YEAH!! although this war and 9/11 completely destroyed our family.. i'm glad that my husband is finally coming home.. I've missed him greatly and although our marriage is no more... my children will FINALLY after 3 years get to know their dad...more importantly my youngest.. Sean will finally meet this guy that my other 2 kids call daddy...

To those who are about to go... my prayers and thoughts go with you.. don't forget to leave us your APO address so we can send you booze care packages.. LOL... and don't think we won't either.. we sent my husband some pretty interesting care packages! LOL!!

and I know us TA's will probably figure out a way to send you some music that your missing out on... You'll have the internet of course.. but don't count on it being up much.. seems everytime its up someone blows something up and its down again.. but you'll get to stay in touch that way much more than actually calling home.. so post pic's! you'll be able to! And know more than anything that people here care about you and wish you a safe return!

sending our love... and gratitude!!

i am sooooooo in the same page as you, but bringing the soldiers back, is just wrong, but also right... So many points of view, is hard to tell whats the right choice to do right now

btw good luck to TA soldiers

Many people will lose the company of their loved ones, but I guess that's the sacrifice one must make if they are to join our nation's military. I'd just like to see those billions be put to use for something other than war, like strengthening our economy maybe.

Here's something to think about. When was the last time terrorists dropped a bomb on a country in North America *besides* the United States? One has to wonder why we're the ones being targeted. Don't anyone say it's cause we're rich cause there's plenty of poor if you look around hard enough.

[opens wallet]

DOH!!

Our soldiers need to keep kicking ass until the rest of Saddam's clan gives it up.

Full respect to the troops serving in such a place as Iraq in its current state, and I hope the return home safe with life and limb. Appreciate the courage and dedication it takes to serve in the Armed Forces guys.

could someone provide mailing addresses? i'm sure TAs in combat would like to know they're not forgotten just because they can't get to a computer.

please don't take this offensively cuz i am saying this tenderly and trying to keep this short... i respect your opinion... but whether i agree or not, is neither an issue here or there at the moment and should best be kept in the politics forum and leave our respects and bests wishes in this thread!..

I wish the best for our soldiers over seas! Much love guys.. especially to those who's already paid the ultimate sacrafice of whom i can only hope they feel from up above, the love in my heart that i'm sending them and the gratefulness which can never measure!

So many sacrafices have been made for families here who await and for soldiers abroad who's lives are forever changed by this war.

With tears, my condolences go to those who've lost not only in death but in other ways as well. If we could understand fully the sacrafice you TA soldiers are about to make I think many more would find ways to go out of their way to say thank you! I hope you hear the sincerity i give you in this message.. THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart, and i wish you didn't have to go!

I didn't know there was such a thing as a "political" forum on TA, but whatever. There's this thing called freedom of speech... ya? I too feel great emotion to those who sacrifice their time and effort for the safety of our nation. I have close friends who are serving in the military, so I'm not oblivious to what is going on. May your loved ones return in safety. If they don't, then you know who to blame.
