Music like Tiesto's "Traffic" and Picotto?

I'm looking for some new tunes to branch out of the trance that I like to play. I'm a huge fan of Tiesto's "Traffic" and a lot of newer Picotto tracks. Basically these have been classified as "hard techno", although you can definitely hear some elements of trance in these tracks as well. What would some of you guys suggest as far as tunes, websites, records stores, etc. for music that sounds similar to the style described? I've surfed around a bit with no luck (and very little direction). Thanks for any help in advance.

The main melody in that tune is taken from a Detroit Techno tune, thats why I said it

look at some sven vath playlists... and then go and listen to them on an online record store and pick what you like :O but traffic & that stuff is like pop-techno to boys like sven & others.

traffic has defintelly got a tech trance feel to it but its not techno..not at all.

if u want to know what real techno sounds like listen to some: marco corola, dj rush, chris liebing and mauro picotto's new stuff.

The vocal version of Flight 643 is gay.

Hey! if you like Traffic listen these tracks:
Dj George's - Action
Oliver Klein - Rheinkraft

And another recommanation Dave Clarke - The Wolf, this one is a techno tune.

if you like picotto's tunes try stuff by

richard bartz
gennaro le fosse
mario piu (3years ago)
gabry fasano
marco carola
johannes heil
alexander kowalski
sven vath
john selway
justin berkovi
wj henze
leandro gamez
technasia
agoria
sharpside
omazic selmir- low fidelity ep
phil kieran
christaian smith
peter dundov

there all pretty similar, as in you could make a good set out of tunes by these folk. these are some of my favourite artists

obviously you get the harder techno and more minimal techno which is good but this should entertain you for a while.

Flight 643, don't think so.

Thanks everyone else for your input. It seems like from the record stores that every other genre is so narowed down, where "techno" seems to mean anything from stuff that sounds like hardstyle to jazz to disco. I've also noticed that "hard techno" has a few different meanings as well.

After surfing around, I have found a few tracks that I really liked:

Laurent Garnier - The Sound of the Big Babou
Funk D'Void - Emotional Content
Umek - Gatex (Oliver Lieb Remix)
Max Walder - Workstation (huge fan of this track)
Eric Sneo - Ciao Bella (my personal fav of the moment)

I definitely gravitate towards the harder, more melodic techno. I would appreciate any other suggestions, as its making my record shopping easier (although more expensive!)

i have both the promo and released copy of this tune and i have to say the released one pales in comparison. altho the differences are minute it changes the whole complexion of the tune.

the promo is brilliant.

also

Get lectric workers - robot is systematic(richard bartz remix)
and jark prongo - movin thru your system (dave clarke remix)

two absolute classics imo
