[Home Studio Guide] Helpful site

I came across this site today and found it very helpful. It answered alot of questions that I had for producing/recording and hardware.
Just wanted to share it and hope it helps others that are n00bie like me Tweak'z Guide

Definitely a good site. Tweak has some nice info on gear as well as forums for questions.

I printed off a lot of stuff of Tweakz about 6 months ago, but I only skim read most of it. Yesterday I sat down and installed cubase sx 2 and learnt more in 1 hour by messing about than I have done in months reading books and articles on cubase. Many articles put me off even considering using cubase as they claimed the learning curve was really steep. Thankfully I find it much easier than Fruity/Reason now that I know where things are!

Word to that. Most people download Cubase and have no idea what to do with it so they never go back to it. If you read the intro manual, you're up and running in a day.

Lightbulb oddly enuff...

After talking with Cheggy and Mystery here couple o' days ago I went searching for some online tech wisdom (with my head full of VSTs and DXis and Sequencers and MIDI thrus and ...) I actually read thru about 12 or 13 sites and bookmarked TWEAKZ site cuz it was so well done. Plenty of easy guides for n00bs without ditching any content!

BUMP this up again!

...mental note: dont plunge in without reading the manual for any of these progs. Gotcha! Cause I did that with Cakewalk many years ago, as it was a bootlegged napster version that didnt have any support. HIJACKING THIS SOFTWARE JUST AINT GONNA CUT IT.
