Eminem leaks
Posted 11/29/2003 by Jason

Recently there has been a few Eminem/D12 songs leaked on the internet and in response here is the following information.

Basically I'm told the following in just phone calls with Interscope Records along with other officials in the music business...

Any person uploading or exchanging these or any other music files without permission to be aware that the RIAA has sent the FBI all over such locations on the internet as message boards, FTPs, chat rooms, and especially IRC & on AIM. They have in the past and will continue to break into break into your house and take your computer along with any other possessions which might contain the material after the ARREST you.

It doesn't stop there. The also impose fines and the record labels will sue you and/or your family.

They are now looking at these situations the same way as shoplifting and especially theft.

With this situation, having a major well-known artist such as Eminem, even more officials will be looking into this situation.
-----------------

Now, I'm not sure, but wasn't there something before that said the FBI had no part in the RIAA's recent actions? I really don't know how serious this issue is, because I haven't seen this mentioned more than once anywhere. And I haven't done a search to find where they may have these files. I doubt they could be in more than just a few places that probably have been shut down by now.

All I have to say is: Who the hell cares about inferior mp3 files by an artist that epitomizes the greed of the music industry?

Right on. I dunno, but this stuff is getting out of hand. When will they give in to mp3s like they gave in to the VCRs?

Haha!
Imperial patriots at work! If they'd been serious about all this, a war against the US would've been started already!

Excuse me, but in my honest opinion American news is a big, nice bag of CRAP! I don't believe the media any place any longer either, but this is funny to read!

I'd like to say this is NOT for offense against Americans. It's generally ment to offend all newspapers generally who spread such rubbish!

Peace!

essentially america itself is one big bag of shit mate....

Umm..They must be clueless and must be lameass threats. The US Supreme Court ruled the tactics of the RIAA illegal. So they can't do much until they find LEGAL methods. Eminem has never cared about money or mp3's (he is just a pawn in a big chess game, being toyed with by the huge media CEO's). Now about the FBI, I thought the FBI was too busy trying to deal with terrorists in the USA. Anyway, as we know, you need a warrant to go in and get things and for file sharing, I DOUBT IT!. Nice post tho....funny tho....no matter what we say...Eminem releases his next and final album (as he says)....it will sell 8-10 million copies because many white people love his stuff.

Don't say it like that! Give reasons for your arguments! Otherwise, your (and mine) opinions are nothing but rubbish themselves.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I've been told that Eminem deeply discourages MP3 sharing. He prolly got so butthurt and went all crazy over the FBI

Posted by hardstyle on Jan-02-2004 20:16:

hmmm

HE probbly cant pay for Dre and his hommies for a butt sex anymore if they steal his music

Give me a break, hes already freaking rich, if you buy his cds you support his bj from hookers

Posted by Evil_Gnome on Jan-02-2004 20:25:

I dont get why people make such a big deal over mp3s. They aren't gonna stop them. They should just give in!

You're right, but you can't go and buy every single song you like (unless you only like a few artists). Anyway, i buy the songs i really really like on vinyl anyway, and when it comes to cd's... well, i only buy cd's from artists who're just beginning and who actually need the money, who aren't fuckin' rich already etc... i know it's still stealing, but if the artists are in fact richer than anyone in the world (*cough* *cough* metallica) as a matter of speaking, they won't be harmed (much).

Ok no doubt about the fact that those people have dedicated their lives and worked hard for becoming what they are (not all of them of course), but they will still get a shitload of money thrown to them from merchandise, concerts etc... (for example: i saw my niece today with her brand new 'cool' eminem "the real slim shady" jacket, no shit... way overpriced & stuff)

There's only one argument i really agree with and that's the fact that, since record companies don't receive loads of cash, newer artists get fewer chances to release their work... It's a sad thing, that's why i only buy cd's from such artists and go to such concerts (not talking about trance).

I can almost guarantee that if the artists and record companies were in our place, they would probably d/l mp3s too.

Hell fucking ya!

and RIAA can do this only in the states, here in holland we have something called privacy and internet providers won't give personal infomration like that.
