What's in store for Destiny?

From the positive reviews from the NYE celebration, what does destiny have for us next? Hopefully they'll throw a WEMF 2004. I could only make it to WEMF 2000, and it was the best event I've ever been too. Hopefully destiny will be throwing more events in 2004. They're just about the only promotion company in Toronto that remembers how to make a night worth while.

Destiny NYE

Dude what positive reviews...
That was a joke and you smoke crack if you think that was a good time.
A place filled with punk-ass kiddy-pops that still need there ass wiped is not my idea of a good time.
Futher-more listening to whom ever those jokers were screaming at the top of there lungs over crap jungle music sucked my big one.

Ouch!!! Now, now kids, everyone is entitled to their own opinons. Although I do tend to lean towards the latter.

I guess tolerance wasn't one of your new year's resolutions eh?

The night was fine if you're not a picky bitch...... anyways.... to each his own.

Destiny's got a Valentine's Day party on the 14th i think. There were flyers for it at NYE. check their website. ( www.destiny-productions.com i think)

u wrote the exact same thing in the raveolutions thread. cant think of anything better to say?

Or instead of comming on to a board and complaining about how shit you thought a party was, you should instead keep your negativity to yourself.

Nice they have a march break thing going down too! Hopefully I'll be able to hit up the march break event. My schedule isn't looking good for valentines day, nor is my pocketbook.

*In the voice of Groundskeeper Willie* "Ooh! Good comeback!"

I totally agree with you, I went to the NYE party they held, had a good time, and that's what matters :P If someone has a prejudice problem, well, better they take it outside :P

WEMF 2000 was my first ever big rave .... had so much fun .... the memories

Posted by failsafe on Jan-06-2004 01:11:

Mine too! The best was when the fog rolled into the main hangar in the early morning. Mark EG layed down the pain with OS2 there. I'll never forget it. Oakey was such a let down there.

Posted by djeso on Jan-06-2004 02:47:

for me one of memorable moments was getting in walking around the tents and hearing rank 1 - airwave, oh and OS/2 dropping aurora - hear you calling!!!!1

Posted by failsafe on Jan-06-2004 05:24:

I loved the mix of all the music. From the trance main stage, to the hullabluo happy hardcore tent, to the D&B, techno, and psy trance tents. There were so many promotion companies that all came together to make it great. I can remember all the dj's dropping delerium slience. I can remember commander tom dropping the darkside. I can remember OS2 dropping major leauge - wonder. That was the defining moment of the weekend for me. Me going totally buck the fuk nuts to wonder in the main hangar.

what i really liked about the main stage were the lights especially when they came down

Did Misstress B do WEMF 99 or 2000? A friend of mine has told me numerous times about his experience watching her from behind the decks, just slammin down the beats as the sun came up, with the "dancefloor" just packed.

Posted by failsafe on Jan-06-2004 17:12:

I think she did both. I'm sure she did 99, and pretty sure she was there at 2000.

NYE Viva

Yes dancing on pavement in a over-crowded tent freezing my ass off
with kiddy-pop punks mooching cigarettes off me and my goril is a good time.
Talk to me when you reach puberty bud! Then we'll talk

Posted by failsafe on Jan-07-2004 00:28:

CryDaddE: who are you refering to when you speak of reaching puberty? I don't think I've ever seen such a whiner. You seem to not like everything if that's possible. You were so quick to dump on destiny and say "what positive reviews" and then major positive support came in for the party you hated. lighten up man. It's you that's coming off as a prepubecent with your "i hate the world" attitude.

are we gonna see any pics from raveolutions?

Thanks for all the positive words! At this point of the scene we are doing this out of love and not for any great financial return so hearing the good vibes makes it all worthwhile.

Enough of the PLUR... hehe - We are definitely planning a WEMF'04 and are currently in the process of obtaining our permit from the town the venue is located in. If everything works out, this year's spot will blow your socks off. I have to say its likely the best location we have come across so far so my fingers are crossed!

it makes me really happy that destiny still throws parties. destiny and the hulla parties are the last semblance of 'rave' in toronto. more often then not you will find me at KH or system, but the appeal of a rave adventure is still there for me.

Posted by failsafe on Jan-07-2004 05:09:

OS2: That's great news! Destiny is truly the last of the big promotion compmanies still going. Will any other promotion companies be joining in on wemf 2004, or will this be an all destiny event? The last destiny party I was at was the one you brought John the Dentist over for.
