i dont think you can extract one single sound, but if you want to take something out, use a wav editor, like soundforge or cooledit, then you can cut it up and use it. if you have the midi then you can take it out

i see...hmmm then how to hip hop prodcers take the certain sounds from old tunes...? they do it all the time.. actually half the sounds u hear are just regurgitated

Re-create them if you have any musical knowledge, and if you mess with effects and all, you can get pretty close if not exact.

they can redo the sounds. my friend can redo the rank 1 synths and such, or they get the sample, but i dont htink tehre is a way to tear teh tracks up and take out each channel unless you have the original midis and such

I wish there was such a thing! lol There's nothing for that. The music is mixed together. Only way you could is sitting there at the mixing board!

yeah...ICEWIND..isnt that how you do it? I mean grab a sample that's as dry as possible and then just EQ the rest of the music and noise out?
Never tried it so I don't know, but theoretically I suppose you could eh?

hmm, not sure if you're being serious or sarcastic. I think what Icewind means is that the only way of doing it would be to sit at the mixing board while the track is being mixed and mute all other channels, in other words, taking it from the source. Once a song is mixed together, it stays together.
