fruity loops ? (arpreggiator)

hey... i was hoping one of you could help me out. i make tracks with fruity loops but don't really know how to use the program very well.

anyway, i was using the arpreggiator on a synth. the problem is when the pattern is not filled (and should be silent) in the playlist editor, it continues to play the arpreggiator sound all the way through the end of the track. this comes out in the mp3 encoding as well and the track keeps going on because of the arpreggiator. can anyone give me any info on using the arpreggiator properly? any help would me much appreciated.

thanks a lot.

well to rectify that happens when you are using the step sequencer instead of the piano roll, when using the piano roll that doesn't happen, but I've have instances when depending on the synth it still has the prob.. well try to use it with the piano roll instead of the step sequencer
