Advice for getting started?
Ive got so many ideas in my head for tracks that I just want to make a reality. I need some advice on how to get started producing my own tracks from scratch. I'm probably going to need to stick with software for the time being. So if you can give me a rundown of all the good software production programs out there, and their uses. I don't mind complicated, hardcore programs, though it would be very nice if anyone knew where to start with some of those crazy programs
So basically, give me anything you beleive might be pertinent.

I wanna be admin of this forum !!
hahah glad I didnt try this approach...Im much more sneaky about it.
after 8 months i still got tons of ideas..but i made several tracks only and they not even top quality.
so, just saying.
Search and yee shall find.
Maybe there would be less questions like this if there was a "So you'd like to start producing....." sticky thread or a production FAQ. The same goes for all questions that get asked a lot, like which sequencer is the best, etc.
The sticky threads that are up right now kind of suck, first of all they are huge and poorly organized. Perhaps someone should go in and delete all the useless posts, or maybe pull all the good info together into one single post (I would be willing to help). Second, the titles are not very informative. Third, some of them were started a pretty long time ago, and are out of date.
Many people find search engines difficult to use, and they would rather ask an actual person their question. If there are some good sticky threads saving the best info from previous posts, newbies are less likely to ask the same question over and over again.
