To folks from Orlando

Do you know of any clubs or venues, where they play at least some kind of electronic music? Of course I would prefer trance.

I have been at several clubs and they only play hip-hop and I seriously hate hip-hop. Craving for some trance here... It's like an addiction. If you don't get some, you suffer painful withdrawal.

Tabu Saturday nights- DJ KJ. If you're over 21 I can get you in for free. (I work there.) Friday nights I think Icon plays edm, and there's a new club called The Vault. Rach knows more about that one than me. I haven't been there yet.

It's been forever since I went to a club in Orlando... years maybe.
But iirc, The Blue Room had a EDM DJ last time I went there.

Unfortunately not much goes on in Orlando anymore. The odd events happen @ Icon and HOB on Sunday nights. I haven't heard of anything coming up besides Sandra Collins later in Jan.

peace

Ok, I haven't been to any of these, but word on the street is: The Vault, Alpha Bar, Grotto, AKA Lounge, and Blue Room.
If you're looking for big names, House of Blues brings some in occassionally, we had Ferry in Nov. and Sandra Collins and Max Graham are coming soon I think.
Other than that, you're SOL unless you like driving to Miami.

Unfortunately, I am 18. I would love to get a hookup but looks like I am short on luck. Actually, Tabu was and still is my next club that I am going to attend (since they have two college nights per week, hehe).

Well, I can see that the trance scene is completely dead in Orlando. Sad, really sad...

Edit: Just visited Tabu's website, it looks like that men ages 18-20 are allowed on Sat nights.

Just found an interesting site:

You can come from age 18+, I just have passes for 21+. If you do decide to go to Tabu, gimme a shout in the Wake Up thread, and I'll tell you if I'm working door. If I am, I can get you in for free, instead of 12$.

Thanks a lot. I'll keep that in mind.

Underage saps? I can get booze if I want, anyway . Also, in many other countries drinking age is 18, at least where I come from. I don't know what is the deal with the whole 21-years-old-to-drink in the US. I don't think most people suddently become smarter when they turn 21.

LOL! yes, deja-vu indeed. And we hooked him up too. I just like to bust peoples chops.
But yes, it is a stupid law and it's a shame that it really limits your options for trance events.

ROFL!! I like this kid, lol.

Hey man, I know of Tabu, The Bank(or Vault, or Bank Vault, or whatever it's called now), and the Alpha Bar. The Independent Bar has some things sometimes, it's worth checking out.

If you are really only into Trance then you may kinda be out of luck in O-town. If you like Breaks and Jungle and house as well then the places I named are on and off.

The Independent Bar had Deisleboy here not too long ago, and The Alpha Bar hosts Torque, a weekly Jungle night every Monday. They have managed to start a God damn revolution in that place. The vibe is just insane, I'd definatly recomend! (AK 1200 THIS MONDAY!!!!!)

Other than that, Miami is ya best option for Trance, as I've been forced to realize.
