ATB?? and his mixing style??
Ok i just picked up ATB's moving melodies and I thought it was pretty good.. then I also just finished listening to 2 worlds, addicted to music and dedicated and also trance nation america and it seems that he doesnt do any mixing in any of his cds other than the trance nation cd.. why doesnt he?? does he suck that bad at it or what?? I never really heard a trance artists that doesnt fade his songs into other songs.. just kinda funny.. but i do love ATB's music and love how he writes and produces all of his music.. well 90% of it..
I havent heard any ATB dj mixes, but what i think you are getting at is the tracks are not mixed on his CDs? The tracks are purposely not mixed. They are his own productions and he keeps the tracks separate. When producers make their own produced CD's like Tiesto's "in my memory" cd its not mixed because they can't mix, tracks are separated as each track is its own entity. And the 'trance nation' cd is a mixed cd, like a compilation of work. Does this make sense and answer your question?
so the diff is Mixed CD vs Album aight?
What about PvD's "Out There and Back"? Personally, I prefer artist's CD albums to be mixed. Keep the unmixed for the vinyl version! Just my opinion.
imo atb is cheesy
First of all, both 'Movin Melodies' and 'Two Worlds' are mixed. So is 'Trance Mix USA 1' and his new 'The DJ: In the Mix' CD, so what the hell are you talking about?

I've heard albums that aren't mixed... But the answer to your question, does he suck at mixing, yea u bet he does
lol.... movin melodies is definitely mixed. the whole album may not be a complete dance set, but tracks definitely flow from one to another
i dont really care for ATB's music, but i do like him live, although i aint really heard anything from ATB for quite a while, seems like his 15 minutes of fame may be over...

| Originally posted by Al Cordero The best part about him is his productions. He sucks live, not a good dj. Second, what do you mean you have'nt heard from him in a while, he just released a 2cd mix. Third, he's been a very hot topic here lately so I dont know where that '15 minutes' comes from... |
Movin Melodies was tight......dont know about the rest of the LPs
dont stop!

'Dedicated' is his best album. Perfectly put together...has tracks like 'Remember' and 'Halcyon'

ATB?? and his mixing style??
are awesome. he always has a great track selection and his mixing is usually on. he is easily comparable to any other dj out there. his new mix cd is great.
hes just as good as pvd
....and hes not a weasel!
Whoa, you CANNOT count mix cds, they're always sound engineered by someone else and falsely advertised to the consumer as mixed by "so and so". Tiesto got a GREAT sound engineer
