Nah in all seriousness, tiesto ownz armin, production wise, charisma wise to sexyness wise. Hes got the goods, not many people could get away with playing only 3 ohurs on a 4+ hours publiscised set, but tiesto can cause he pwned us all. ARmin is good for a few hours of upliftingness but 6 + hours of uplifitingness is a bit much. I shall decide on the 26th.

I think Tiesto has a emotion drive in his songs, taking you somewhere better.

Armin has a bit more quality but less emotion.

In the reality of Trance, Tiesto's songs does take you on a Magik Journey.

Dj Wise, Armin wins hands down.

agreed........cept armin is hotter tho....but that's not enuff to keep me interested when he's just churning out uplifting track after uplifting track without a good structure - for me, a few half-assed prog tracks for half an hour and then launching into uplifting for hours isn't a good structure.........i've just found him really really boring lately.........still looking forward to seein him tho - but it won't come close to tiesto......

Both have a unique sound and are experts in their craft! My hats off to both! They know how to lift a mood rip assholes in people and overall have a good time! that for me is what does it for both of them.

I'd love to see armin and tiesto playing at the same party in Oz one day. I hope that day comes s00n!

Tiesto sound wise, what he is playing and producing is really grabing me at the moment, it has so much energy and i love that.

Armin DJ wise is far better, he has the skills. His sets are usually as good but if find are more dreamy rather than energetic.

I love them both but in the last 6months tiesto has been my choice.

I think that's because Armin hasn't changed his style one bit, If Tiesto retained his old style till now like what Armin did then Tiesto would wipe him up.

BUT i enjoy both their stuff, so i'm not complaining...

exactly! his productions are so much better and his tunage selection in general is a lot kooler than tiesto. also, on another note he is a lot hotter which counts for something imo!! ha ha!

thats your opinion. Judging by the reactions of most people on this board tiesto is still very much a crowd pleaser.

I guess some people just dont like his new style, you cant please everyone and i know my musical tastes vary from time to time so its hard for me personally to keep playing the same kind of stuff like Armin does. But thats why its great to have both of them!

Im really looking forward to seeing armin, but i do hope its not ALL uplifting, cause that will get a bit bleh after a while. Hopefully he will play some energetic stuff and some dreamy uplifting stuff.

I liked tiestos set at sunshine people, but then again, im not a dj, so to me, it was just good tunes on a beautiful evening. I had lots of fun taking the piss out of who was on before Tiga with escee You abuse that crossfader boyeeee!

Anyway, back to the topic.... I like them both, I havent seen AVB live yet, so i will tell you what i think after the 25th. But i do think that a no holds barred match in a cage, is an appropriate way to settle this discussion.

Tiesto in terms of production and versatility, but Armin is definitely a better dj and alot more character. Overall, I would have have to say Tiesto for the simple fact that its difficult to put a definition to his sound, where as Armin is more predictable.
