Breathe Thursdays...THE RETURN OF TRANCE TO GAINESVILLE!

"When the same old hip hop just won't do" is the motto of Vibe's new Thursday nights. It's very fitting, considering the last couple years in Gainesville.

But in just 1 month we have more Trance DJs in the line-ups than have been here in the past year!!!

January 15 - DJ Hardware!

January 22nd - EDGAR-FUCKING-V!!! (Ok, this one suprised me too. Edgar tore it down last time he was in Gainesville, but the support just wasn't there, cus of the lack of promotion on Simon's part...this time, bet, it'll be a packed house...I'mm personally make sure of it!)

Febuary 26th - Chris Lum!

Just as Edgar was hush-hush up untill now, there will be many more names announced to fill the month of Febuary. We can thank Adam(DJ Hydra) for this, as he seems to have an agenda to bring Trance and (good)House back to the Ville. I'm hoping some of ya'll will come to Hardware, and I KNOW TAs will represent for their boy Edgar!

I'll see what else is going on up here that weekend. I'm sure there will be something...and never forget, clubs close at 2AM, but that doesn't mean we all shut down at 2! It just means we set up the decks elsewhere! Last Edgar afterparty that Flo and I went to we got a ride from Simon's with Edgar to the party. There was an open bar and all the Heineken we could drink for free. And Edgar just straight wouldn't let us take a cab to get back to my place at 6AM like we had planned. He made us get a ride from him, that was really cool.

I'll ask Adam now about afterparties...me thinks DJ Arturo and DJ Edgar at the afterparty, hehehe...

i hope this is as promising as you make it out to be... I LOVE VIBE.. i just miss dave preston last time i was there was for danny howells over the summer and it was my fave show in gville EVER save for seeing crystal method and also digweed in 2001... there is never ANYTHING good up here.... i havent heard of the 2 djs other than edgar, but if im free ill give them a chance

I'm hoping it's as promising as Vibe and Hydra are making it out to be. Basically, Simon's has hyped their shit like crazy to the Gainesville residents but with no promotion outside of this town their events have sucked in the past year. Adam has flyers being sent out from ATL to Miami and he's so pumped about this. I know he didn't announce Edgar before now just for my sake too, lol. Cus he told me about Hardware and Lum over a month ago and told me not to say anything to anyone, but he knows Edgar is one of my favs. I was like --> when he posted it up.

Anyway, Hardware and Lum are great house/prog house DJs. Lum is west Coast style House and I've only hear two of Hardware's tracks, and havn't heard him spin, but from what I've heard thekid is real nice!

Finally, Cynthia...us G-Ville TAs don't have to drive to FRIGGIN Miami for a decent show...COME TO US...BIATCHES!

I'll keep ya'll up on the other DJs, Adams being all hush hush about those too

On that Digweed 2001 show, I've got picks of him and I in the DJ booth wasted as hell along with Joe C. That was a fun night, but I didnt really care for the set that much. My favorite Digweed show in G-ville was the 99' Halloween show, that set was awesome. My all time favorite show was his and Sasha's Delta heavy Tour in Miami.
