people that spell f-ed up

anyone else find this shit fucking annoying? its worse than a pissing contest between posters who are trying to outdo one another with music and trance knowledge. fucking spelling words like:
music - muzik
cool - kewl
word - werd
fat - phat

i dont have a problem with shortening for the sake of being lazy, such as saying 'i dont have a prob with' or switching you with 'u', but typing the same or extra just to be 'different' and fucking 'kewl' just makes me want to slap that person back to reality. who agrees?

Posted by Boomer187 on Jan-07-2004 08:51:

I don't agree, nothing against you er anything.

Just think they can type as they please, it doesn't piss me off, but I can certainly see where it oculd piss someone off.

good luck in gaining support

Posted by ezbeats on Jan-07-2004 08:57:

im not rally seeking support, im just bored and that was on my mind. yeah i dont care really, people type what they want, listen to what they want, say what they want, it was just on my mind. im not on any sort of a witchhunt to put these 'kewl' people down. im just real bored and was thinking about it...

wait wait...
i take that back
there are some people that type like:
'i wuz going round looken at everywun and dey wuz all phucked up! haha roflmfao!!' yeah those people ima hunt down myself, but no one on these boards thus far has typed like that to that extreme, so far.

you can say werd with your left hand only
cool = two hands

What's even more annoying is:

Their <-> they're
...and so on.

funny enough Ive yet to see non-native englisch people write that stuff wrong, but lotsa native englisch people.

maybe we had it hammered into us that often during school that that wont happen to us

Posted by on Jan-07-2004 18:07:

hahaha,, all your examples in your first post are how I type those words... especially muzik and kewl... I do it cuz my fingers move to those keys easier I find personally.

I'd say the "u" and "ur" stuff is the worst. I find it's very very hard to come across as intelligent if you use those in your writing. I do try not to judge people too prematurely as I've seen intelligent people use them before, but those who do should perhaps consider the impression they might make. It's more acceptable (although still largely silly) in an IM conversation but on a forum we can surely spend the extra few seconds to type our words out in their entirety. Oh well, hardly worth getting worked up about in any event.

Posted by mezzir on Jan-08-2004 00:33:

i was thinking about this earlier and i think i started saying werd because i used to say fucking werd a lot on AIM and that way i could type 'fuckin' then the rest with my left hand, so while i was typing 'g werd' i could move my hand to my mouse/hit enter

and homophones really piss me off...for native speakers they're not that fucking hard

hear = listening type thing
here = not there...note: there
there = not here, see^
they're = a contraction of 'they are'
their = posessive of them, no real intuitive way to remember this, just memorize it or go by process of elimination
