has anyone heard of Winamp Pro 5??
Winamp3 was a failure in terms of what it hoped to achieve, many users reverted back to Winamp 2 as it was faster and more recent versions included some of the features that 3.0 introduced. inamp5 (working title) hopes to merge the best features of the two, as this is an alpha this version is not yet obvious but I am sure you guys will want to try it out anyway!

there was a topic on this a few weeks ago.
using 5.0 and it's working great. Does all the things 2.x did for me before and even uses classic skins. Got used to the old format.
So far no complaints.
I tried it but went back to 2.x because 5 really doesn't offer anything new that I would use so there's no point. I don't want anything more out of my Winamp.
From their FAQ: I guess there's not even the slightest chance that my old serial number from 1999 will still work, huh?

What they emailed me when I paid: This registration is valid for ALL versions of Winamp, past, present and
future.

I like it, there is this enhancer plugin too which is pretty nice. Using classic skins as well, but never tired burning a cd with it.
can it run shout cast right? I know winamp3 kinda sucked at that.
I've been using it for awhile now, started when it was in Alpha stages...I love it!
