Best US DJ!!!

Whats up everyone,

I was just thinking we all have our favorite DJ's and shit and they are from all around the world and all, but what about right here in this lovely country of our own, who do u think is the best United States DJ, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this could be an interesting debate, but for me, The DJ that does amazing sets ever time I hear him and never disappoints me and moves me everytimeis you know who, Markus Schulz, even though he was born in Germany and came over here and shit, still I think the number one US DJ goes to Markus, he is know all over the country, so there you have it for my opinion!!!!

House: Deep Dish and Danny Tenaglia
Prog: Markus Schulz and Gabriel & Dresden
Trance: Edgar V and Filo & Peri

all in all I think we have some really good talent here in the USA.

Markus, G&D, D-Fuse, and Danny Tenaglia (but not for more than 2 hours)... those would be my choices.

Smoking ..umm..something

Filo & Peri baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with globalgirl....I Deep Dish totally rocked me this past Oct when he played with PVD in Toronto! Markus Schultz is also my vote, a real bonus to moving to Miami! I am also partial to BT (who's from Washington DC) and G&D

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on Jan-09-2004 02:41:

Man i forgot about Deep Dish, they have put on some of the greatest late night several hour spanning sets.especially when i saw them in Toronto @ Guvernment.I also have to give some consideration to Bill Hamel and Taylor from san fran.

Posted by nrjizer on Jan-09-2004 04:52:

ahh yes, BT too

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on Jan-09-2004 11:30:

Umm isn't Bt not a DJ.I mean he was vain enough to put out a shirt saying on the back"still not a dj".I really don't think doing "laptop symphonys" should count as djing, especially when that person just shows up plays a bunch of there songs sequenced and maybe a few remixes and takes off after an hour.BT is a great producer,a good live pa performer but his idea of djing is a joke.Sorry if this may anger some people but i feel a bit strong about this after seeing him play last year....blech.It was a bad experience which just lingered.

Deep Dish
G & D
Christopher Lawrence
D:Fuse
Kazell
Edgar
Marcus

Danny Howells, Christopher Lawrence and Deep Dish... and Bill Patrick/the 112 crew will make some inroads soon methinks.

Posted by das_Mario on Jan-09-2004 17:57:

Christopher Lawrence!!!!!

If you love trance minus all the cheese...he's tha man! I've seen CL about five times and he's never disappointed...nothing but high-energy, hard bangin' goodness!

Posted by starchild on Jan-09-2004 18:37:

Richie Hawtin, Deep Dish and Danny Howells.

It's too bad I can't think of a really, really good American 'Trance' DJ.
