Dunno Midiman Oxygen 8 Reason v2.5

Anyone here ever work with the Oxygen 8 and Reason??? I'm an avid user of Reason, however having much trouble integrating my Oxygen 8. Quite frankly where do I start??? All I can use it fo thus far is as a keyboard, when I need to be using it as a midi controller. If you have the Oxygen 8, please give examples of how you are using and it's purpose. If you also have any other applications you have used the Oxygen 8 with succesfully, let me know. I know it is a very versatile controller, just thought I'd ask the TA's before I bother ReasonFreaks.

I have a radium61 but it should be the same.
Im new to this so not 100 % sure but go to
Toolbar>options>enable midi remote mapping and Edit remote mapping
Green arrows should come up.
Click on what ever item u want to control>select learn from midi input and move what ever control u want to assign it to and it should work.

This is the way i do it but idk if im doing it right or if there are other ways to doing this.
I dont know if it saves what u assign or anything.

awesome I think I got it...

I'll try and figure how to save the assignments with the oxygen once I play around. Is there anything else I should know????

Hi!

I am also quite interested in the Oxygen 8 25-Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller. But have couple of basic (duh!) questions.

1) Do i need to have other synth, drum, etc softwares in order to operate this keyboard or can this make its OWN synts & drums with its own software supplied with the product?

2) How can Oxygen 8 be pplied with ACID PRO 4.0?

thanks guys, would appreciate your input on this!

Acid Pro works with VST's so you can use the Oxygen8 to control those.

Sorry I missed ur post Chapel. The oxygen 8 doesn't have it's own synths or drum kits. It is used as a controller for programs such as Reason, Rebirth, Orion Pro, Reaktor, Absynth etc instead of having to use a mouse or keyboard. It'll work with acid when u have some vst synths installed in the plugins folder. I suggest you startoff with some of the synths in the VSTi thread, the FM7 and Pro53 are good to place to start.

im having serious trouble with this - i managed to get it to assign ok, but its controlling two of Reasons nobs (the one I want and the one it assigned automatically) at the same time, which is really messing up my automation!

how can i clear all automation and just work from scratch? thanks
