used vinyl store?

hey,

i was told recently that there's a good used vinyl store here in calgary. anyone know of such a place? i'm not really familiar with calgary but would like any help if i could. i've been looking for a few classic albums on vinyls and was told that there was a good shop in calgary for used vinyls but the girl didnt know what the name of it was. anyone? thanx!

There are plenty of stores that sell vinyl in Calgary, but stores that sell *electronic dance music* on vinyl is another story altogether. If you are juust looking for an old beatles album or something, just look in the yellowpages for recordstores.

ahh okay. i never thought to look in the yellowpages but that would be a good idea. i was just hoping to find some good ones that people know of or that they can recommend but i'll look into the yellowpages thing. but if anyone does have any recommendations let me know please.

Maybe Recordland down in Inglewood? I don't think it has to much for Electronica.

If your looking for older classics you'd probably have a much easier time ordering them from somewhere online.

What are you looking for?

i'm looking for some older rock albums by bands like journey, cheap trick, the clash, boston etc etc.

i know its not electronica but over the christmas break i had a chance to listen to a few of my parents old albums and really enjoyed them so I thought I'd see if i could start my own collection of sorts.

i looked up that recordland store and i'll try to check that out definately. it looks a bit hard to navigate to but we'll give it a shot sometime this week. i appreciate the suggestion!

i have looked on places like ebay as well for classic vinyls but i find by the time you pay exchange rates & shipping rates you're paying way too high to make it worth while. thats why i thought i'd start with local shops and hopefully go from there.

Recordland isn't really that hard to get to. Just take 9th out of downtown towards inglewood. I'm pretty sure there is a bus that goes down there.
