brittany spears - toxic...begging for an EDM remix (flame all you want)
ok so flame all you want, but has anyone actually heard this track? its got a great beat and is just begging for someone to remix it. way better than me against the music, and has a lot more to work with. in my opinion it could be a great tune if you took out the lyrics. they played it on the radio...so if anyone else has heard it, comment on what you think.
Gabriel & Dresden anyone?

i agree, i like this track (and pretty much the whole cd is surprisingly good--rolling stone even thinks so!)..
Adam Freeland PLEASE GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS!!!!!!!!
how about steve hampster?
I've thought the same thing since Britney's album first came out, but I kept my thoughts to myself lol. You are a brave man TrAnCe CoNtRoL.

This song is definitely begging for a mix! Personally, I'd like some of the vocals to stay.

basically a bootleg is when you take 2 songs and you mix them together... you may have heard it as "synergy" too.
it is illegal since you are not asking the artists, and you cannot release it with a label...
what about breath on me. That's a really subtle vocal track that would suit G and D's style more than toxic, no?
Think its a great track even if it is done behind same producers as cher's EDM!
BTW big congrats to Gand D who are likely to get a top 10 UK chart hit with ATRC tomorrow!
(and that's despite the poo vid with silly eratic arms woman!)
Deep Dish could do a nice work with it.

i like this track alot but id rather hear a remix of "breathe on me"
yes! i love britney....and i loved what g&d did with her song. i could def see a rmx from g&d again for "toxic" and maybe one from markus schulz for "breathe on me." i asked for the cd for x-mas, got it, and absolutely love it. i think its her best one yet....very sexy and less cheese.
No Britney Spears song is worthy of a remix.

not into toxic, but i'm really liking breathe on me -- very hot. a few lines of the lyrics are too cheese to be included in a vocal, but i love that she uses the "just put your lips together and blow" line (lauren bacall in "the big sleep).
rober nickson for trance and luke chable for prog

who is britney spears?
I suppose it's doable... but Idunno. I'm not much of a Britney fan and I think that there are a lot of other songs that would be better to remix. Coldplay - Clocks was an amazing choice of a track to remix... same with Evanescence - Hello. I just don't think Britney has the right style to be remixed like that... but then again, I can't judge anything until the final product comes out. (ex: some of the remixes of Coldplay - Clocks were shit IMO) It would nonetheless be interesting to see what artists Gabriel & Dresden could do with it.
I believe I heard half of this song once. It reminded me of a low quality Hybrid song.
Well, I downloaded a copy of this to see if Britney suddenly turned a corner on her music composition (though, I'm pretty sure she doesn't write any part of her songs anyway).
And... Well, it's still Britney Spears. I'm not sure what you'd really remix from this either...the bass line?
