Club Surface in TO

i need some info on club surface. could someone please give me a run-down of i.e. location, set-up/ lay-out, size in comparsion to another club like system, quality of sound system, type of crowd ~age-range, general impression of vibe/ nrg, etc. u know the drill. cheers!

i found a website of roxy.blu.com on which surface is featured. but no details on the club itself. talk about a shit website -since you guys are complaining about boa's supposed crap site! if surface is anything like that site ...well ...anyways, lemme know!

Im pretty sure Surface is the basement of Roxy Blu. I went there for Chris Liebing, i wasnt too impressed with the club to be honest. Very small, almost looks like someones rec room. Lamps and couches, a cheap looking set up for the dj, and shitty wood floors for dancing. The crowd that night was very blah, and i hear it usually is.

i found it kinda cosy and nice... no lasers just some dark lights, couches to chill on in the back if u need a breather or wana smoke a j, not too big but not TOO small... i liked the place.

or maybe i just didnt care about anything cause liebing was playing.. whatever

My personal opinion is that it's the worst club (as a venue) I've been to so far.

Unless the party is REALLY good, the venue and crowd will bring you down.

Ugh, Surface is such a shit hole... I really want to support the techno DJs but as Greenhorn mentioned, the bland venue and sterile crowd really are bad enough to bring your mood down, even during a good show.

I'd say that I'd come if someone could hook up g/l but I don't think they even have one at that club. So I'll have to see what the money situation is like - if it's $20 cover... meh.

DON'T FORGET GUYS!!!! Saturday nite!!! try to make it if you can!!! here's your chance to see one of montreal's & ARIA's finest dj's!!! you won't regret it!! i'd be there if i could be both in mtl and TO at the same time!

I don't think I'll be going, sadly...I'm sick as a f'en dog.
