Keep it simple
Does anyone ever just go out and have a good time? I mean, I read all the picking apart of DJ's sets, sound systems, vibes, etc. and it sounds like that's the only thing people do when they go out. I understand why it's done and why it's so hard to ignore, but it just seems like that's the only goal when venturing off to party. How can anyone be having a good time when they're spending all of it trying to find the good/bad of the situation so they can write a review about it on a message board?
For me, I spend all of my time simply enjoying the music and dancing. I never notice any of the other bad shit, cause I choose not to. Sure once in a while I'll notice a bad mix, or some ****** with glowsticks will bump into me, but since I contain myself in a bubble of good energy it doesn't phase me. Just because other people are having a bad time doesn't mean I have to. Call it turning a blind eye or whatever, but it's just a party, not a war, and I'm not going to feel bad if others are suffering. In fact, I think the best thing I could do is continue to live in my happy little bubble, because that shit rubs off onto people. You want some, have some.
If all we ever have to give off to other people is good energy, that's all we'll get back. Thus, by simply ignoring all the shit and simply having a good time, that's all there is and the rest melts away. It's like anything else in life. A choice. Any situation can be changed by a choice the individual makes, and why choose to let the bad shit ruin a good time?
I also understand that there is the truth. And the truth is that some nights are just shitty and can easily be picked apart. But again, why bother? There will always be bad, there has to be in order to have good (balance, yaddayaddayadda). This is why it comes down to the choice that the individual makes. My choice is to close my eyes, feel the music, and dance with a smile so big you'd think I just had an orgasm.

thats why i got into electronic in the first place
I know that when i go out, it's with one thing on my mind... how much fun i'm going to be having that night. I don't have a checklist ready so that i can take notes for a review. Rather, i go out and just have a blast. If i write a review of my night, it tends to be more a reflection of my night afterwards (and i rarely have bad things to say
). Just because i write a review, does not mean that i didn't go out to have a fun time

I have a great night out everytime I go out because I love the music and I too dance in a tiny bubble when I am at the club. Close your eyes and enjoy it I say. As a rule I just try and avoid those places where I know the dance floor will be too crowded, that way no one can burst my bubble.
i cant remember a negative review of a party that ive posted
go with a good attitude, youll have a great time
Good point
Good point there is too many people allways saying too much around here and never happy with what they see or hear. I think people should just plan their weekend and go have lots of FUN where ever their night takes them.
Yeah I've rarely posted a bad review either, however negative I may appear to be.
I do just go out and have a good time, and most of my old reviews will show that. I'm always surprised to hear about fights and other weird things happening because I almost never notice (although sometimes I miss some good stuff too...
).
Some people are addicted to bitching, though.
I think most of us actually do go out and have fun at the parties. well thats what it seems like to me. I haven't really come across a TOTA during a party who seemed like he/she wasn't having a good time. But I guess its when we come back from the party, that we hear about the bitching cuz many of them have nothing better to do at home.
you rock, k.i.s.s
I COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU BETTER JENNY PIE!!!
me personally always there for a good time, the women , the music, the booze
me always managed to get sloshed.
on some nights i stay sober.
i find that on TA quite often though, too much mumbo jumbo, about which club is better, what sounds good, who cares, have a good time is all that matters.
but who am i judge maybe my goodtime may not be yours.
Tranceaddict is all about opinions on music and certain ppl refuse to bash deejays, well sadly I don't care. If I don't like a deejay then I'll say so damnit. The only bad party I ever went to was tiesto in 2002, the other ones were off the fucking hook (Sander K, Max Graham, Luke Fair...tho minus debo in 2002, Lawler and Tomiie in 2002, Kleinenberg's return in Aug 2002 at the Axe Free Party, Digweed in 2002, PvD in 2001, Tiesto in 2001, Delta Heavy 1!!!!! the list goes on and on). It's tranceaddict and bashing deejays is a national pastime, for some I guess. Tho I will continue to bash the Tiesto @ koolhaus 2002 party for the remainder of my days because I spent a pretty penny on that and the effort was pathetic. I always go to enjoy myself but that night left a bad taste in my mouth and it refuses to leave. I bet this entire post by jennypie was aimed at me, since I tend to the majority of the TA bitching, feel free to add me to the ignore list if you don't wish to read my crap or skip my posts all together, does not bother me. So congrats for having the balls to post that, my sincere congrats.

I always go out to have a good time, and sometimes my night isn't so nice, but I take it in strides because I know you have to take the bad with the good.

I was just giving you the option basically. Some assclown pmed me yesterday saying he did not like the abuse I heeped on some European DJ who can't mix in another forum months ago. I tend to bash the bad and praise the good....oh and I'm still thinking about that pic request....bwahahha

prob one of the better threads i've read in a while...
i can totally relate to that...i've had people tell me the silliest things like i'm psycho lol. sometimes they think the smile is fake cuz in their mind they cant see someone havin that much fun on the dance floor. btw can you say 17 hour orgasm?

You're not alone!
That's been my mantra since the beginning of me going out to clubs/events.
I'm also a firm believer in that you make your own happiness; if you're not happy, it's your own fault! MAKE happy!!
