Your All-Time Top 5 Racing Games
here's mine:
1. Project Gotham Racing 2 (X-Box)
2. Gran Turismo 1 (PS1)
3. Need For Speed 3 (PS1)
4. Daytona USA (Saturn)
5. Sega Rally (Saturn)
i put up gt1 instead of 3 because i've only played 3 once and i dont remember anything about it, and i personally like 1 better than 2. same with nfs, i like 3 better than 4 (high stakes) and 4 is the most recent nfs i've played.
1. Gran Turismo 3 A-spec
2. Gran Turismo 2
3. Gran Turismo
4. Need For Speed Underground
5. Road Rash 2 (Sega Genesis)
Haha, Road Rash used to be the shit!
Oh yeah, Gran Turismo 4 will soon top that list I'm for sure.

of what i have played
GT3: A-spec - best variety, realism for the masses.
Live for Speed - best driving model, online.
NFS:U - great arcade, best sense of fantastic speed.
NFS:PU - most arcade depth, far better damage, driving model, modification and more realistic than Underground.
Rush - cheesily awesome in its arcade-ness, and those jumps came long before GTA3.
SSX:Tricky - this is RACING, not driving - am I right?
F-Zero - fits in somewhere, every version has its strengths, though I think the newest one creates the feeling of the original concept, n64 had the track where you blow everyone up, and SNES had the initial novelty.
Mario Kart - somewhere here as well, but I can count how many times Ive played it on two hands.
**so i guess thats more than 5, but they arent ranked so screw off!

anyone ever play 'Stunts' for pc? it came out before win95 was even out. the graphics were mediocre for the time. so if you think about the time the graphics are shit compared to nowadays. but it had a badd ass map editor and the engine was kickass. you could make tracks that you could fly though in total control, a smooth. not many racing games capture control very well i dont think. i was a fan of the mario kart series too.
its only about 1mb big. dl it here:

if this game were re-done it owuld be bad-ass. keep in mind, only singleplayer, and the time trials is the best feature.... but it has loops, corkscrews, nasty ass jumps, tunnels, and a replay mode which can make you laugh a shitload.
STUNTS

| SPLENDID! that game rocked and it still does!! ![]() haha. when I get bored in the holidays I sometimes dig up the old 1.44Meg floppy (which is still in working state) and watch some replays of me and my brother made yeeaars ago it's really funny, and it has a lot of crazy bugs aswell.. did you know that when you land the car halfway on the downslope of a bridge it will do a 90 degree turn and dive straight UP (!) in the sky and fall down again just wonderful ![]() |
