Thumbs up The new CD scratching !!

Aight guys, now, I just read in the DJ times mag about that new CD scratching tables, and now is becoming a favorite for hip hop DJ's and such, now, looks like VYNILS will definetly be replaced by CD's as new technology aproaches and makes things better ..
so would it eventually Vynils die out as CD's will be the next best thing 1?!? take in count that they wont bring no trainwrecks, no excuses for needle problems, and no more problems with vynils been messed up after a couple of times played, as well no problem with playing directly under the sun, plus this new CD table, in wich you can scratch is DJ friendly ... hhhuumm ..

Your opinion on how things are starting to evolve ?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, vinyl ain't going nowhere.

Until they figure out something that gives you the same control and feel as vinyl, cd products, and cd dj's will have it rough trying to make it big time.

People like vinyl, it's just cool looking.

And plus, they'd have to remake all those novelty t-shirts that say, "Got wax?" to say "Got plastic?"

^^^I agree. People just are not ready to accept a DJ using only CD's. Vinyl is more hands on...plus whats to say a DJ wont throw in a cd with one song recorded and mix perfectly into the next song???

no trainwrecks? cause of using CDs? why that?

also, a lot of trance is still only being released on vinyl, AND all the clubs/raves I've been to had technics, but very few had CD-players

As long as there are people in the record stores buying records, then records will stay around.

And i'd feel fairly lame walking to a party with a cd book.
I like lugging around my 50pound cases!

Yeah, I have to agree that VYNILS are more DJ FEEL ! .. but I was just wondering what you guys would do as new things keep coming out such as this one .. hehehe, and the responses are very concrete !

Why would anybody want to scratch with CDs (or vinyl for that matter)?
It's so annoying and most DJs that do it tend to way over do it.

Smiley DJ CD Skratching sucks!

Once when I was talking to DJ Qbert (the world's most phenomenal skratch DJ), he was battling a CD skratcher. He says the things don't sound a thing like vinyl. it's a cold hard digital sound. i heard the things myself too and it'll be awhile before they're accurate, but even if they are one day, they'll still be a little off with the digital sound it produces.

Plus: CD Dj's get the easier options like looping and auto-beatmix while it takes more skill to do the vinyl.

I just hope one day computers or robots don't become DJ's that easily beatmix and stuff. I would die!
