Smoking ..umm..something * Any Mp3 Files Splitting Program to Recommend ? *

as i said in the topic .
i need help finding a good mp3 splitter..
the main problem is ....most of the programs i've found only allows me to cut the large mp3 (100mb) into equal parts or 2 parts..

i want a program which allows me to cut into multiple parts bases on the time set.

lets say i have a dj set. i have the time score and i want to cut them up so that i can burn them into individual tracks.
how can i do so ?
pls help

Get a burning program, like CDRwin, that supports cue files, which are just text files where you can specify the track points for a mixed DJ set (that is all one file), and it AUTOMATICALLY burns the track points onto the CD. You'll NEVER have to split another another mp3 or wav file again.

Good Luck,

Sal

The first program that comes to mind is Sounic Foundry's Sound Forge. Open up the mp3 file (which is then converted to .wav) and you cut dissect the mp3 into as many pieces as you wish. Its not free, however, unless you can find it in the warez scene...

cuesheets are almost like making your own mixes so they are very cool

go to www.download.com

and look up mp3splitter in the search...its a real effective/fast program

Mp3splitter is great, but it can not split big files..that are over 70 MB big I think...

Smiley DJ

So will CDRwin allow you to cut the tracks and not leave a gap in sound when the tracks change?

Thanks!

no one mention MP3CUTTER - this is a great program - you can find it on the SOFTWERE section in the main page of trancEaddict...

If you just want to make a cuesheet to burn it with the times you have, all you have to do is make a cuesheet like so.

FILE yourfile.mp3 MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 01:43:41
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 01 08:47:03

and so on, just add the start of the songs to the next track.

If you need SoundForge, give me a PM.

i need help using this program.
