Naked Angel (OrgaNik's Fallen Angel Mix)

Way to beat the rush

Yeah, here it is if anyone cares:

Download.

It's breaktrance so beware.

Waiting to see how long it takes before some gimp releases this

Thumbs up

I just d'loaded and heard the track. I dont know much about production but all I know is that I like what I hear. Great Job

What do you mean, if anyone cares? We ALL care! I've not heard the original but frankly I don't care - I really like this version. It begs the question though, just how good are the ones that have made it through to the last ten?

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Jan-15-2004 22:01:

Great remix, i really love your current production style, the whole breakbeat thing works very well for you.
I listened to this tune from beginning to end like 3 times and i just dont seem to get tiered of it.

One thing that stops this tune from being perfect is when all the elements kick in after the break. i was expecting something alot more powerful, something with energy you know what i mean?
I think a harder bass could have done it, a different bass from the rest of the tune, maybe something more driving and powerful.

Other than that i see nothing wrong with this tune, there is no boring moment in it, and i really enjoyed listening to it.

I don't really see how it would fit seeing it's meant to be more on the relaxed side.

Well i donno, usually when i try making a breakbeat tune im trying it to be really relaxed and emotional at the intro and breakdown, but when it all comes back in i want it to sound as twisted and powerfull as i posible.
Gouryella- Walhalla (Hybrid's Echoplex Remix) is a good example of powerful and energetic breaks, thats what i would have gone for.
Just a matter of taste i guess.

Ur tune still rox as it is btw

Cool

this is mint, i would prefer the vocals to sit how they are intended tho

Posted by Sean Walsh on Jan-16-2004 00:52:

This is absolutely fantastic; your breaks production is awesome man.

The strings and synths are great, as are the vocal effects. I do agree with Luke though about the placement of the vocals; it could be because I've heard the original and my remix literally about a thousand times and can't help but think it's wrong to place them in a different way. Other than that though this is absolutely fantastic and I love it.

well ! Dr. Nik i like it!! too bad it didnt make it in the top ten but still it sounds good!! maybe we will have a competition one day and see who makes better mixes :P but anyways ! i agree that the vocals shoulda stayed because they are way powerful in the tune!! thats imo

Great idea. The beat is perfect. Also this is yet another track by you in which the piano sounds excellent. Great track to finish night/set with.

very nice remix , good alternative to original.
on the negative side ill say that the vocals dont always match

Posted by Romain on Jan-17-2004 08:51:

very good remix, sweet melody, nice piano, and i like the vocals over it.
i really like your tracks, they get me in a special mood; hope we'll hear more stuff like this in the future, even deeper than progressive.
Relaxing & dreamy remix, i like it a lot.
& please, more of your work, we care. Everytime i see a new production from you i'm happy as i know it's going to be quality & innovative stuff. Usually makes my day.

Cheers everyone, glad to hear you like it

I actually like the vocals better the way I used them... oh well.

Posted by Airyck Sterrett on Jan-17-2004 09:59:

Nice job on the remix, I actually liked how you used the vocals, kinda throws it off the norm. Great productions skill with the breaks. I'm glad to finally be hearing some of these.

Posted by Syeker on Jan-17-2004 16:33:

Starts with a lot of energy and stays with it all the way till the end. Love this remix it is a great way to show another side of this beautiful song.

Posted by Fundamental on Jan-18-2004 07:47:

Lovin this Nik! Those breaks sound massive! Great piano work too... I think the way you have used the vocals is perfectly fine, and on your behalf I'd like to give a couple of fingers to those naysayers.

Seriously though, the people that didn't think the vocals were right are probably too used to hearing the structure of the original.

The only thing I didn't like are the phased drums sound on the builds - kind of annoys me. I guess that's just opinion though.

Damn good work!

That's precisely why I didn't think they sound right, and why I never will think they sound right, hehe.

Yeah, I've only heard the original a few times so it's not too difficult to detatch myself from it's concepts and structure.

Unlucky for you!

Posted by noonboy on Jan-18-2004 12:30:

I'm planning on opening my set with this, next week.
I guess it's ok for ya?

To make it short, I like this better than the original! Very very good! This doesn't need too much more of work.

Keep it up!

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Jan-18-2004 12:38:

Yeah, fine by me
