Monkey Dancer 2 About the WMC

I might be going on plane or or in someones car trunk.

I got a questions about this WMC stuff

1.Do I need to buy a ticket for all these these shows ????? .I hear people saying I am going to Ultra 6 and ClubSpace but what does this have to with buying a ticket. Now sorry if I am confusing ot bothering people. I just wanna know so I can attend this and I never travled before so this will be a first for me and I wanted to end up being a great experince.

2.Anyways I wanna the total cast Like Tickets at the last moment, Plane or Train, Hotel, Food and etc ,etc. I mean anyone who has gone there from the D.C. area or further north. Holla

Space is usually pay-at-the-door!!! get there early.. around 10.30 - 11.30

1. You will have to buy a ticket for Ultra which is on the March 6th.

All the other events are seperate

WMC is the week of the 6th-11th I believe. Which you have to register for if your going to attend the conference.

2. I would suggest booking a hotel right now. More then likely most of the places will be booked by then.

march 5-10 friday to wed

Who else will be playing @ Space besides PvD on Friday 5th?

I have a couple WMC questions of my own:

(1) Do you need to get a conference pass to go to the pool parties and such or are they open to anyone?

(2) It's been said that most of the events are on SoBe, but with Ultra and Space in downtown Miami, what events exactly is everyone talking about? Are the hotels that host the pool parties on SoBe?

Thanks,
- James

1. the conference pass this year includes entrance to ultra and i think entrance to all the pool parties. It also gives you free entrance to some parties in the clubs or discounts on entrance to the parties.
2. The only events in downtown (15 min drive from sobe) are ultra, NV, Space, and if the venues are ready for that time- 2 new clubs: Nocturnal and sum other place on the same block.
The pool parties are held in the south beach hotels and all the other clubs that are having events for wmc are in south beach, so it's worth it to stay in that area.

Also, Space usually has a very good lineup and they r open for afterhours which is worth going to, so if you plan to go there almost every nite/morning, u should look into buying their space pass which gives you entrance to 3 or 5 parties. It will most probably be available to buy in mid-Febuary on their site. If you dont wana get that, u can pay reg. cover which can go from $30- $100, depending how much they feel like charging

hope that helps....

Cool thnx Miriam that was pretty informative girl!

I heard about the Space Pass, and we are getting that for sure.I know I will be at Space every night and morning (lol) I am there, so it makes sense to spend the 100 bux on it or however much then blowing that same amount each night there to get in. And Miriams right about the cover, --
Last year it got up to 100 dollars AFterhours right after everyone dipped out from Ultra @ Bayfront... I believe Deep DIsh was there or something, point being..its the best club afterhours and thats where every1 goes so they can charge however much they feel like. I would get the Pass

i want to get the 3 day pass but last year i wasted one day. dont know if its worth it though. i know its a huge moneysaver but then im stuck goin to space but with a lineup like pvd and tiesto. that aint too shabby ugh i have no clue... what to do

what do yall think

Thanks for the infos.

Although my first question is still unanswered: Can you get in to the pool parties WITHOUT a conference pass?
I ask because after Jan 28 the conference passes go up to $325. I'm trying to determine if the $275 they are now is worth it even.

I'm sure you'll be able to, BUT you'll have to pay a Cover Charge.. it'd be good if someone could confirm this.

YES you can get into the pool parties without the pass! lol

There *may* be a cover charge sometimes, but I remember there were parties with none to get in last yr so youll just have to wait and see!

Posted by Redeye on Jan-21-2004 04:55:

ok, here is the deal on the conference enrollment, YOU DON'T NEED IT. Simple as that. The only people who buy it are those who will be attending the seminars at the wyndham, otherwise don't get it. Just pay the cover charges(if there is 1) The easiest way to get into pool parties is to have someone go in first, get their hand stamped, have them come out and lick their hand. Press their hand against yours and voila, you have free admission. It worked at 4 pool parties last year and no one knows the difference. If it doesn't come out well, just say it came off in the bathroom when you washed your hands

Which other DJ's do Pool Parties? any info from last year?

fuck the pool parties Yacht parties! say sunday with....

Posted by Poyson IV on Jan-21-2004 05:45:

redeye is correct, but if u cant pull it off, then u can always pay the cover charge which is usually $10-$15 or blag your way into the party by b.s.ing that ur on the list.

The pool parties are def. worth checking out. for a full listing of all the pool party lineups and parties at the clubs, make sure to pick up a copy of Street magazine on the street. It's free and its available all over the beach.

Yacht parties are nice but those are usually invitation only....

Posted by ex-dj on Jan-21-2004 05:48:

Thanks again.
Yacht party man, I'm there... nothing like trying to spin records while the boat is rockin!
