Review : Infected Mushroom
Ok first I start by saying Yaz and Preach played amazing and they both made the night for me. Infected Mushroom well... lets just say they were good the first time they came because i never heard that style before but the second time it gets repetitive. Just because I was falling asleep doesnt mean everyone else didnt enjoy it, in fact the place was packed and the vibe was good except for the many strange people and toys
. its still fun to hear infected mushroom since you dont know what to expect but I was able to ID 1 song from them! Prodigy- voodoo people
For me though the highlight of the night was the end of Yaz's set!
He played Marco Carola - Diapason, Mauro Picotto - New Time New place, Mauro Picotto - Alchemist or Pandoro not sure and then he topped it off with the horn track and I shit my pants
Also thank you preach for waking me up with some nice techno and saving the night.

it was kind of an unusual night @ Aria yesterday.....different people.....different music...
but it was quite good....it was the first time I saw a live act....and I think its pretty nice....but it got a little repetitive...imo, infected mushrooms played better when they were spinning....
they played some really nice tracks....some I wouldnt have expected like Prodigy - Voodoo People...
but I prefer Yaz & Preach....the end of Yaz set was incredible...just as usual....and Preach....OMG....hes so good...from start to end it was awesome, he save my night for sure...

i really dont understand any of you. you like techno and you call infected mushroom repetitive?
they are psychadelic trance, the only complain i have for their music of all artist that make this kind of music, it's they kick drum. it sounds the same, but other than that. the strange melodies, the effects, everything it's very nice.
if you can sit for a 4 hour set of repetitive techno on picotto nights then you should be able to handle this.
great night. superb vibe. montreal loves this guys, and it was proven, that they are not well known, and bring more people to aria than 80% of the djs aria book.
i dont even want to think how aria would be if they bring astral projection 
astral projection are banned from aria... long story, ask biggy

when i saw u, ive already seen the big lineup of guest list and i was like
anyway, yeah the vibe was great but it was different kind of people that dont usually go in afterhours. i dont say they dont have their place in ARIA but it felt weird.... as for the music
sorry but i got to say it was in my top 3 of most boring... actually i danced on it cause it surely had a nice energy in it, but its always the same, you cant feel a lot of different energy, its always the same sounds and i got really bored of it after like 2 hours, especially that they didnt start spinning different stuff
anyways it was nice to see how great djs like Yaz & PREACH can change drastically the night's atmosphere
As someone told me, Preach is well-mannered, and not only that i think he was so nice to arrive a lot sooner than his spinning time, just to talk with people... ca montre un autre c�t� d'un dj, c vraiment cool Phil

ok so for the review
its was nice to see a live act it was my first, but i wasnt feeling like if i was at aria the crowd was so different and that stage really packed the dance floor making it so hot i didnt even want to go dance in this kind of oven
to reply to master's post i gotta say like i already told you that infected where nice,but not really my style so i wasnt really in the same mood as the majority of the crowd who seemd to really enjoy the show
yaz and preach really saved my night by playing 2 incredible hard sets

though a certain someone made a last ditch attempt.. hehe 
I'd definitely like to check them out sometime, heard only good things really.. I should have gotten off my butt if anything for a techno fix.. going through some withdrawal here in the 613 since Beyer.
Oh.. and hearing 'Voodoo Child' alone probably would have done it as well.. haven't heard that track on a big system in like.. 6 years.. hehe

I didnt like the fact that they were playing no vinyles....kinna strange to me.....cause when i think of a DJ...i see turntables.....not two guys stock on a machine playing with little buttons.....anyways....music was good and i was surprised soooooo many people showed up with this funkin cold weather

Street carnival was awsome at the end man.....it rocked the place...

most psychadelic trance is based on live P.A. so there is not much market for vinyl. that's why you see them with cds only. and is still mixing. nothing worng with it.
